Solid little ramen place trying to masquerade as a hole-in-the-wall but a little too hip to completely pull off the mom-and-pop vibe. Most of the seating is counter, which helps to discourage lingering, so the line actually moves fairly swiftly. I had the tsukemen (noodles served dry with a concentrated dipping broth served in a separate bowl). The dipping broth was half pork and half fish, which gave it an interesting flavor you dont normally expect out of ramen. The wedge of lime served alongside accentuates the natural pleasant acidity of the broth. Definitely not as rich and creamy as a traditional tonkotsu broth, so youre better off ordering something different if you want to stay to tried-and-true ramen. The noodles for the tsukemen were thick and chewy (the way I prefer them); my dining companion got the regular tonkotsu ramen, which came with thinner noodles.

Second visit today. My first visit was dinner, lunch was today. Both visits were great although food timing took slightly longer for dinner. My first visit I had the Shoyu with chicken. It had a great flavor but I wasnt heavily impressed. For lunch today I had the Tonkotsu with chicken. The pork broth is defiantly more hardy than the clear chicken broth used in the Shoyu. If you have a health appetite I would order the side of noodles. Although when they arrive to the table it appears to be a small portion its a sufficient amount. You can also easily share if youre dining with someone. I never save receipts, and didnt catch his name but the guy who helped me both visits was great ! Oh !! And try the cucumber mint yuzunade. Its so refreshing !!

Tried it out. 1. The space is cramped and the design in general is nothing special. 2. The staff is marginal. 3. Most important though, the food: The pork broth was too heavy and the quantity was minimal. The pork, extremely fatty, was cut too thick. The ingredients in general seemed not so fresh. Veggie broth was too salty. 4. The prices are way too high. I genuinely wish it had turned out to be a pleasant surprise but it didnt pan-out. Theres another place I found on Colorado Blvd in Eagle Rock that Ive been to three times in the last month that is much better on all points.

The atmosphere was uncomfortable. All men working there when I went, except for one woman. It is bar style seating. The Crispy Rice with Tuna is Ok, but you only get two pieces and they are small. The Ramen was a bit mediocre and overpriced for the amount you get. The Rice bowl with the pork belly was okay if you like a good centimeter of oil at the bottom of your plate. The oil couldnt be from the pork since most of the pork was dry. The egg thats included was raw (even more than usual as I know its not suppose to be cooked all the way. The parts that were not dry were very good.

Im a simple man. No tonkotsu ramen, no stars. Silver Lake ramen makes some of the best tonkotsu in Los Angeles. Why they would leave it off the menu here is beyond me. Add pork broth and maybe Ill come back. Update: tried the chicken ramen. Its okay. Not great, but the restaurant makes a solid effort and has good service. Still, without tonkotsu, I wont be returning. Everybody in our party was disappointed and confused by the lack of options. Offer the chicken tame if you want, but you should also offer what people actually want in Los Angeles.

This is Americanized ramen. They used button mushrooms instead of Shiitake or Enoki and globe eggplant instead of the smaller Japanese version. And why no Shichimi Togarashi? The chili paste offered overpowers the food. The noodles were lifeless, lacking in texture and identity. The one saving grace was that the broth was flavorful. Its open late unlike most restaurants in the area which is good for the locals, but its not a destination spot.

My roommates and I are addicted to Ramen of York! Its difficult to find a solid vegetarian ramen broth, but this place has it down perfect. Its even better with an egg or bamboo (and without the corn thats included)! Legit sooo delicious. Prices are good and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Can order take out too, but its more fun to eat there (if you have a smaller group, as its bar-style seating). Grateful this spot is in HP!

The ramen noodles were way too soft for my liking, and the broth was interesting. The kitchen was a little slow for how empty the place was. The decor was also kind of strange, it was a pretty enlightening experience watching myself eat in front of a mirror though. Im disgusting. The server was very courteous helpful, and the salmon poke was great. Will not be back for ramen.

Havent had silverlake ramen yet so I cant compare the two. Ramen of York was awesome though. I had the shoyu ramen with a chashu bowl and I loved both of them. The ramen had so much depth compared to your cookie cutter ramen shops in LA. The chashu just melts and the noodles are nice and chewy.

Non conventional Ramen place but definitely good flavor. The price is reasonable and food selection is comparable to other Ramen places. The wait staff is attentive. Parking can be a hassle during peak hours but you can always find one. Been here at least 4 times since it opened.

I thought it was great. The broth was amazing, and the chicken was great. Pork belly bowl had way too much rice but I still liked it. The location is great, you can have dinner and go to multiple bars across the street.

A really unfortunate idea to have dinners facing the dishwashing station. It was not very pleasant having to watch them clean dirty dishes while we ate. No alcoholic beverages served here. The food was great.

A fan of there thick broth ramen. The rice bowls are tasty as well. Tried the horchata drink thing and it was pretty horrible. The yuzu colada was good. Only complaint is the narrow aisle and only bar seating.

Didnt like it. The ramen broth was somewhat greasy tasting. The pork pieces were mostly fat and gristle. Seating is minimal, counter seating is very v uncomfortable. Hole in the wall vibe. Never go back.

This place consistently serves good ramen. The flavors are similar to those of Silverlake ramen I would say. I dont think it is necessarily one of the best I have had but it definitely is satisfying.

I enjoyed my ramen everything taste good. Nothing special for the price and portion. The view of the sink and watching the employees wash while I eat was not great. The service was good btw.

Pretty decent ramen in the area. Similar quality to Modan in Eagle Rock, but their broth is a little lighter. However, some reviews say their tsukemen is as good as Tsujita. That is not true.

Good Vegan options for ramen, hope they add spicy tofu as an option to replace spicy tuna on crispy rice appetizer.
