First let me start with how beautiful this restaurant is, unlike any Ive seen before. Beautiful Russian architecture. The inside is in keeping with the Russian feel. Service was good. Attentive but not exactly knowledgeable or helpful when it comes to the menu. Food was pleasing. Quality meat but undercooked and I ordered a medium rare and a medium. Both came rare. But for a filet rare works.Lamb was flavorful and tender. I didnt have the duck, so I wont comment. Roasted red pepper soup was bland and tasted more like tomato soup but more of the skin left in it. Heirloom tomato salad was probably my favorite. Fresh, meaty, and flavorful. Chief complaint were the potatoes. Mine and others came with a boiled red potato with a cone of whipped potato on top. The whip was dry and crumbly. I was expecting to be much creamer. The boiled potato was plain and uninspiring. Void of all flavor. Overall a pleasant dining experience and romantic atmosphere. The food was good. Not bad but not great either. For the price I would expect better flavor and a knowledgeable staff. A good option to dine out if you are in the area. Would I go back? Maybe.

Unique and yummy! What a cool location and building. We were lucky that we were staying at a rental close by and could walk here for dinner. A local told us we could order the small plates and since it was slow season we even got seated in the main dining room. 4 people shared the small plates along with wonderful wine. Its a small quiet restaurant. Wonderful food. We still talk about it and cant wait to return this year. They also have a sunday brunch we hope to try.

What a awesome place. So rich in history. So beautiful. I love to hang out at the bar there. You can count on the bartender there to make you feel right at home. She will greet you with a warm smile and make you a drink you will remember. Then the bar menu has a lot of fresh local food at a fair price. The dining room is very Upper class and the food is fantastic. If you are staying in Sea Ranch or Gualala do yourself a favor and stop here.

Walk back in time into a European lodge for either a lengthy gourmet feast or a small plates romantic light meal by the lodge style fire place. Fine local wine & beer list. Unique to the North Coast and destined to be remembered.
