One of the worst BBQ places I ever ate at. To start or order took over and hour and twenty minutes to get. It was a to go order. Then as we were checking half the food they forgot to give us. We ordred the big plates and it comes with 2 sides. They forgot all our sides and forgot one the kids meals. So after spending 10 trying to flag someone down the girl who I showed that they forgot gave me a dirty look and went to talk to the manager. Then the manager came up and said ok well if you still want the side of fries its gonna be another 15 minutes as we just ran out. Omg. So we choose something else. Then we get home and open up our meals. And not only are the meat portions so tiny i was in shock, but also they were burnt and dry. The mac and cheese i ordered was cold. Not luke warm but cold. There are alot of good grass valley places to eat at. This is not one of them. Between the rude waitress and the lack of food quality and the waiting way longer then we should have. I wish i could give this place a negative rateing.

The food is great the sauce is great, however there is no reason to go after 6:00 PM they are usually out of two or more of the meat choices and sides and sauces! I have eaten there at least 35 times since they opened, I actually took my father there for lunch the first week they were open. The food was awesome however every time we go there after 6:00 PM to either dine in or eat out they only have a very limited selection of meat and sides and sauces. However you cant go wrong with Smiley guys for lunch or dinner before 6:00 pm. The staff, (not counting my last visit) is usually very attentive, kind and courteous.

Asked my hubby to stop by and pick up an order on his way home at 4 pm. They were out of the sausage of course. Got the ribs, corn bread and Cole slaw. There wasnt any sauce at all so the meat was pretty flavorless. The corn bread was more like corn muffins that were made days ago because they were as hard as rocks and completely inedible. Even the coleslaw tasted off. WTH? How TF do you manage to screw up corn bread and coleslaw? Well lesson learned. Tried to support a local business and got burned.

The food is amazing 95% of the time. Some nights, the chicken isnt smoked nearly enough. The rest of the time its all amazing. They only serve crappy nacho cheese (my reason for 4-stars interest if 5). They are serving such quality food (their salads are, like, whoa), I dont understand why they bring their nachos and Mac-and-cheese down with such a lame ingredient. They can get busy. Great for groups. The Family meal deal is a steal.

I wasnt impressed. The sauces were terrible, they tasted only of vinegar and tomato sauce. None of them tasted like barbeque at all. Their mac n cheese and coleslaw werent to my taste either. The service was good and it looks like they have a decent selection of beers so this would be a good place to go if you arent planning to get barbeque. It just was not for me.

The only thing going for this place is that they have TVs with the games on and Trivia every Wednesday. Other than that the food has REALLY gone down hill. Their wait times are way too long. Ive sat through a whole night of trivia without my food delivered to me and then they handed it to me while I was walking out the door. Just for an order of fries!

We love this place! Excellent selection of microbrews, always great food, laid-back music (reggae, classic rock, etc.) at low volume, 3 dart boards, and no pretense. The food is predominantly natural and real, and reasonably priced. Family friendly. Be sure to leave something in the tip jar for those cheerfully hard-working folks!

Spaghetti Sauce labeled BBQ sauce. The Worst! Ribs obviously boiled before reheating in the smoker. NO SMOKE TASTE. Brisket not smoked. Horrible. Pulled pork no taste. Mac and cheese they use cheese whiz. Even though they are the only place in town, they should have more respect for customers an BBQ. Shame on them.

We were in the area and thought wed give it a shot. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. The meat melts in your mouth and they have a great variety of sauces. It is kind of a no frills type place, bus your own dishes, but I dont mind that.

Love this place for a casual inexpensive bite. However closing down the fryer before the restaurant is closed is a bad move. If your open, you should be all the way or not at all. Stuff that comes out of that fryer is some of the best in the area.

The meat here is alright in flavor, but was obviously microwaved to order resulting in a not so great texture. The sauces arent great, tasting largely of dried herbs. A nice, large space with good indoor and outdoor seating options.

The new owner is an absolute riot! Great place and hes got some great ideas to make this an excellent spot for everyone looking to make new friends and connect with others in the comunity. Oh and the food is excellent.

WAY OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY OF PRODUCT! Coleslaw had no flavor, potato salad sucked, fries were cold, beans were crusty and hard and the sauces were kind of disgusting. Worst of all... the meat was cold.

Former employee here, they dont own a microwave to heat things, just to melt ingredients. One sauce is tomato paste based and the teriyaki is killer. Also, the new owner has made some tasty changes!

Wide variety of beer, bottled and on tap. Food is excellent. Love the spicy sauces- many to choose from, mix and match to your taste. Went to a large birthday party there, I was impressed.
