I live in Alta Sierra and it seemed every time I stop by they were closed! I wondered if it was really an operating restaurant. Well let me say, it is! Finally I was able to try their menu. Being a San Francisco native Ive had some of the best Mexican food there is. Here in Grass Valley Ive frequented Marias and Margaritas. Both of them are pretty good but Im thrilled to report that Casa Las Katarinas is better! The food is fresh, authentic, and flavorful. The portions are hardy and the prices comparable. Very cool that its in my backyard!

This was our 5th time to dine here and we have always had excellant service, great food, and fun inter-action with the staff. So happy for the consistency. Love that we have a very nice restaurant we can proudly bring out of town guest to. A cute side note the name means "The Ladybugs." Muchas Gracias German (our waiter)

Family run restaurant with really excellent homemade food, and service. We eat there often, and give it a hearty five stars. Mild to spicy to suit your taste. The owner, Dave, is almost always there to greet you. Big enough parking lot, even for bus loads, which he sometimes gets, so reservations are recommended.

Ok this place is so good! If you are planning to go you should make a reservation. It gets super busy. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is great. I got the chicken enchiladas and they were super tasty. The meat was so soft I could cut a piece with my fork. Planning on going again soon.

It is wonderful to have a good restaurant close to home. Its nice to see Delia come out to make sure her customers are satisfied and happy. The waiters work hard to make sure you are satisfied and happy. The food is always good.Great place!!

Weve been there twice now. Great food and excellent service. This time was close to closing time and the servers set a table for themselves and enjoyed a meal too. They still waited on us very well. I liked it. It felt like home!

Service is great, but had to wait about ten minutes passed the time they said my food would be ready. The food weve tried so far is okay, Ive had much better. Dont get the quesadilla for kids, its nothing special.
