Yum, yum, yum... And I am stuffed. The bbq is fresh. The price is reasonable. The atmosphere is nice. Okay, what more? The service was pretty good considering how busy the place was. If I want a better service, I would have to go somewhere I need to pay more for what I get or what I dont get. This is no frills, no butler service, no one-on-one attention place. This is the place to go eat some good stuff. The side dishes were delicious. The crusty rice in the hot water (nu rung ji tang) was unbelievable, and anyone who goes there must ask for it. It is hot, temperature wise, and soothing. The wait could be long because this is very popular place. It is obviously popular for a good reason. But there is a Vietnamese beer/coffee bar (I think it is called ANVI) where they serve good drinks with cute waitresses who wear not much. I actually tried their cold Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It got me going until the next day. Otherwise, you could get FREEEEE frozen yogurt while you are waiting, which is not a bad alternative. I used to do that until I discovered the cute girls next door. If you really do not want to wait at all, go before six. I never had to wait before six. After six, depending on the day of the week, expect some wait. Again, this place is popular for a good reason: The food, the price, the atmosphere, and the overall bang-for-the-buck is GREAT, second to none!

Our group of 12 had a reservation for a Friday night dinner. Surprisingly, the table was already good to go by the time we arrived so no additional wait. Plenty of side dishes such as chap jae (glass noodles), kimchi, broccoli, potato salad, pickled radish, and etc. The side dishes were actually my favorite part of this meal. The chap jae noodles werent too greasy and the ingredients were really fresh. I mustve asked for 3-4 refills of these noodles! The potato salad was also tasty with little bits of corn and ham in each bite. I also enjoyed the pickled radish as they were crunchy and not too spicy. However, I didnt come to an all you can eat meat place only to eat their side dishes! Obviously, Im there for the meat. Theres a limit of the type of meats you can order, which is quite confusing because if its all you can eat, why is there a limit?! The quality is ok; not good, but not bad. It literally was middle of the road type of meat in terms of presentation and taste. The yogurt machine needs a tune-up because the yogurt was really watery and the apple flavor was no longer "apple," just plain. After all thats said and done, I had an "A-Ok" experience. The staff members were really patient with our large group. Ill even say that they provided pretty good service.

The place is always packed, and rightfully so. if you get here early enough for dinner, you wont have to wait long. but if you do have a long wait, you can always head upstairs to the bar area for some free coffee or grab a couple drinks before your meal. we always get the cheaper option of the AYCE because were pretty simple and theres already plenty to choose from. the food is always delicious, the side dishes are good, and i love that you can also order rice, noodles and soup. what really stands out about this place is the staff! everyone that we have encountered here so far have been the most friendly people. theyre really prompt with orders, always checking on you to make sure the grill gets cleaned off, they chat with you, and really makes the whole experience a good one. the only thing i dont care for is the yogurt machine which spits out non dairy type yogurt. but thats just my own preference. the endless loops of Kpop music videos is pretty entertaining too.

Went with some friends this weekend. The waiting area is SUPER nice on the second floor like a lounge. The service was good although they were pretty slow and while at other KBBQ places we never really have an empty grill unless theyre cleaning it, here multiple times we had to wait for a server then some meat. The portions they brought you were small too compared to other places the grill didnt cool fast enough. Multiple times we asked for 3 plates of Brisket and they only brought us one. Ran out of rice paper too. In short, there was A LOT of waiting for food. The ice cream was free which Ive seen at many other places so that was good. This place is good, but definitely not amongst my top 3 places for KBBQ. Perhaps it was the day or people there that day, who knows.

The Best All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) BBQ ..like ever!!! The reason for a 4-star.. Sure when its super busy like it is everyday and night....the service is a 4-star.. Sure when its super busy, the wait-time can be from 2-4 hours. But I still I love it. Though, wish I can give a 5-star rating. The banchan is really good. Refillable to the max sometimes if you ask nicely. The food and prices are good too. My favorite is of course bulgogi, rice wraps, brisket, and steamed eggs. Just the wait time is incredibly too long for my tastes. Luckily I come here only when we visit my brother in Irvine. Star BBQ has another location in K-town, Los Angeles.

My review on Star KBBQ. I went there late around 1145pm with a party of 10. Know that they close at 1 . they didnt have no side diShes for us(ex; fish cake ,salad, etc)All we were eating was MEAT AFTER MEAT. They lied that the icecream machine was off. But you see other customer leaving with icecream in their hands. PRICES WERE WAYYY TO EXPENSIVE. 25$ a peice(person). And all we ate was MEAT. About 3 rounds And they didnt notify us that they were only taking cash. Luckily one of us did. Other than that i aint going there nomore. Lmao.

I enjoyed the Korean BBQ. It is AYCE, the service was a little below what I am used to as often I would ask for additional kimchi plates and rice wrappers and it would take them a while to bring them. They kept the meat flowing pretty fast. They have a free soft serve machine at the front that was a nice touch to finish off the meal. Overall though I liked it and wouldnt mind coming back if I didnt feel like going to Gen or to my usual spots in K-town, Los Angeles.

Truly the best BBQ in the world, by far! Quality meat, well-fermented kimchi, fresh salad and other side dishes, reasonable price, and the best frozen yogurt! The best part about the yogurt is that its FREE! I come all the way from LA Korea Town, and this is as good as it gets! The servers try, although they are quite busy. This place is happening, for a reason. I love the porrage, dwenjang jjigae, and soju! Simply the best... It
