I went to this place around when it opened and I remember disliking it but couldnt recall why, so I decided to give it another shot. Tonight I got the yellow curry with chicken and rice on the side (it doesnt come with it) and my boyfriend got combo pad Thai (meaning it had both shrimp and chicken). We shared a chicken satay appetizer and a sticky rice with mango dessert. The total was almost $41. I love curry, especially yellow curry, and I found this to be bland and watery with a little sweetness to it because of the coconut milk used. I was very disappointed and could only derive what little flavor there was from the veggies and chicken and rice. My boyfriend was annoyed the shrimp in his pad Thai still had tails and he said it was bland and the noodles reminded him of jello. The chicken satay was also disappointing. The peanut sauce lacked flavor, spice, and a strong peanut taste. The cucumber salad that came with it was interesting, both spicy and sweet. The sweet rice with mango was good. Not great, but good. Very small serving. TL;DR: The staff was nice and it seemed like they were really busy and potentially understaffed. Nonetheless, the food was bland and disappointing. I wouldnt recommend here, but instead would recommend Palm Thai Bistro on the other side of town. You can get the exact same things, but better quality with equally as nice people.

Food was amazing ... had the curry and spring rolls both of which were really well made, flavorful, and didnt take long to prepare. The flavors and spiciness levels are true to what I expect from a thai restaurant. Usually I order curry from other restaurants and I eat it spicy, so I have to tell them either thai hot or 8 or more out of 10 on the spiciness scale to make up for the thinking that most people dont want the heat...not here. The waitress luckily advised me to order it a little less spicy than I was used to ordering but then gave me more of the peppers on the side just in case it wasnt hot enough. Their scale is right on! Their middle level of spiciness is most other restaurants 8 or 10...I didnt even need to use the extra spices. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely eat here again when I travel back to this area. Great food and great customer service

What can I say. Since theyve opened, weve been regular customers. Usually we get food to go once every 2 weeks when were too tired to cook at home coz they are really like home-cooked fresh food. Our favorites: Crab Fried rice, Phad Thai noodles w/ shrimp, Garlic Shrimp, Chicken Angel Wings & the Vegetable Deluxe.

Food was amazing!!! Everything tasted so good. Unfortunately the service was not so great. Waitress wasnt very friendly, didnt check on us not even once after our food was served, which by the way, they forgot my food! So I was the only one in the table without food, and they didnt even apologized for it! Rude.

These folks know their Thai food. Very, very good. Spicy is not just "punch me in the face" spicy, but full of flavor and intricate complexity. (Note "very spicy" is the recommended spice volume, even though theyll warn you what even "Indians and Mexicans cant take it" and that they "have no returns.")

More like 3&1/2 stars.. overall taste was good. Not too salty or sweet. I might go back to try Pad thai which was not available when I got there Sat at 7:30 pm. I ordered drunken noodle instead and my husband got pad see ew. They tasted very much the same and it was hard to tell the difference.

My wife and I have been to Thailand and this is the closest thing we could find to the food we ate there. Crab garlic noodles and 1 lb of shrimp is the way to go. They will even do something special if you call in advance. Great people, Great food.

Their soup was So Spicy, but the waitress was so clever, she suggested I add coconut milk to it to "tame it down," and it worked Perfectly! It was delicious and hit the spot! Id hate for the to throw food away just coz Im a spice wimp!

I had the Thai Fried Rice and Yellow Chicken Curry. Both where bland. It was way to expensive for bland tasting food. It was a huge waste of time and money. I can only imagine that the posts giving them 4 or 5 stars are fake profiles.

We came here for dinner on the way to Lake Tahoe, and were delighted. The food was tasty without being greasy or overwhelming, and the portions were just right. The service was also very friendly and polite. Highly recommended!

The Pad Woon Sen is wonderful. They use noticeably less peanuts in their dishes than some other Thai places, which is perfectly fine by me. Polite staff. Quick. Effecient. Well deserving of 4 stars. I eat here pretty often.

Went to this restuarant because they listed under Thai food. The food was delicious and service was great. You could see the food being prepared in kitchen. The food was not too pricey.. Would back again

The curries here are rich and flavorful. Had duck curry. Only quibble was that duck was a bit tough. Fried tofu appetizer was perfect. Service friendly and fast.

I am used to spicy, but the 3 out of 5 on the spicy scale was very spicy for me, I wonder how spicy the 4 and 5 is? Very good pumpkin red curry anyway.

Feels too much like a franchise, though it may not be. Prices for quality a tad too high. Popular with folks who dont know real Thai food? LOL

Nice stop along 80 for a quick bite. A little pricey for the portion sizes you receive but a good, clean stop. Worth trying!
