My group of investors just recently ended our relationship with this establishment. We where meeting on a weekly basis and while there we built great relationships with many of the staff. Angie provided exceptional service always with a smile. Stephanie the manager carried herself with the uttermost professionalism every week. The food is pretty good but the value comes from the oversized portions. That being said most plates are in the $20 range. Drinks are also pretty well made. The only drawback was ownership. Unfortunately I cannot say he had the same level of professionalism or business etiquette. Due to miscommunication and indecision from week to week from ownership we had to move on from this location. We appreciate the time and service we had with this place and wish them the best of luck in future endeavors. May both parties learn from the experience and grow. Thanks again Stephanie and Angie we hope to see you guys again in the future.

Ive eaten the same dish pretty much for my entire (long) life: beef enchiladas with two eggs, over easy, on top of them (and rice and beans, of course). Occasionally, Ill get an odd look from wait-staff, but usually theyre accustomed to eggs being added to Mexican dishes of all sorts and barely blink. Yesterday, however, at El Mariachi in Encino, is the first time Ive EVER been asked to pay $4.50 PER EGG!! Yes, the "Manager" deemed it necessary to try to bend me over to the tune of $9.00 for two eggs. Why, I have no idea, maybe I just insulted his delicate culinary sensibilities... In any case, Ill never return to a place that treats its customers like theyre idiots!! We almost ran to I-Hop, which is across the street, purchased to eggs (for about $2, most likely) to go and returned and slid them onto the aforementioned enchiladas... alas, Id rather just complain online!

Read the reviews still went... Mothers day, looking for "good music" and mexican food. Get there... 4pm, No music!!! Wasnt crowded, food took entirely way too long, for nachos. Other tables were complaining as well. Overall experience, something is missing, management needs to step it up and look at the unbiased reviews. Poor waitress couldnt find what excuses to make for the shortfall. Nice looking place, but i dont think i will be returning. Lastly, how are you going to name a restaurant "El Mariachi" and no mariachi band... Especially on Mothers Day. My honest review.

Amazing food, friendly staff, and live music almost every single night of the week. Mariachi on the weekends and during the week there is a VERY talented young man playing an assortment of music from latin america and some songs in English as well. Come for the food, stay for the music and great ambiance.

Our waiter forgot what we ordered so another waiter came back to take our order again, both never wrote our orders down. The live band sang beautifully BUT the sound was so loud I couldnt even speak to the person next to me without yelling. The sound was why we wont return but the food was pretty good.

The place is totally confused place. Food is ok but very pricey.. Has so many table and no parking and you have to pay 4$ for valet parking and they park your car just there as they dont have enough customer Not worth it at all. They have DJ and dance stage that even in Saturday night was dead

over priced, misleading menu. cheese enchelada = chicken enchelada?! when corrected to cheese enchelada it was full of sauce and unmelted cheese. strange seating arrangement. waitress was nice and helpful. parking is weak.

Stopped in during happy hour. $3 Margaritas were delish! Guacamole is made tableside. Also yum. And the salsa is so good with chips. Dinner was also tasty. Chile relleno and enchiladas. Will definitely be back.

No need to charge for the ppv fights, people eat and drink here, more ppl come when you have the fights, otherwise place is dead on weekends. Fights bring in the crowd and business in this place
