This place is definitely worth a stop. I will go out of my way (from Sacramento area) for a special treat and desert next time we host a party. Bread sticks like Ive never seen or tasted before (youve got to try them to believe... different shape, hint of rosemary, Parmesan). The oatmeal cookies and brownies are great too. Stopped by for a lunch and morning snack on a trip to lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, they didnt make it past Placerville. Service is outstanding too. Clearly a friendly owner/operator with a passion for the food. Worth going out of your way for this nice little bakery.

My fiance and I live 8 hours away from where we decided to have our wedding. To say the least it was diffucult! Way Back Bakery went out of the way to make sure when I was avalalble, so were they. THey have the cutest most charming bakery and the staff was simply....well simple. They were sweet and helpful in everyway posible. When i saw the cake table i was blown away! Thank you Way Back Bakery for helping make my day amazing and delicious.

Owner and Pâtisserie Chef Alisa Smith is such a joy to work with and her baked goods are awesome. Earlier this year she did all the baked items for our company tea party which was a huge hit. Today my guest count increased for our Christmas dinner and I called Alisa for the third time to add more rolls and desserts. I told her I felt like I had my own personal pastry chef helping me this year. Thanks, Alisa!

Ive heard good things about this place but I just found it to be "okay" I got a cinnamon roll, which was huge but the outer rings were dry and the inside seemed kind of undercooked. Ill try it again if Im in the area and need a snack but I wouldnt go out of my way to come here.

This is an amazing bakery! Fabulous baked goods, outstanding service, and excellent location. A favorite with my family. The lemon bars and macaroons are the first-rate. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. Your taste buds will thank you.
