Real food, which means sometimes its a little heavy on this, skimpy on that. So what? To have real Greek food in Davis, I can put up with that. Once a year , usually in the fall or winter, we go sit down and order everything, and remember that meal for months. The New Gyro pizza is the best thing you can get on a Tuesday nite, and I think its the crust that does it, more like buttery bread, and salty feta, thin sliced lamb, yum. Family run, and I think there may be a younger generation ready to modernize soon, but I like seeing the owners sitting in the lobby, ruling the roost.

I love love love the pizza. The service is subpar. The food is overpriced for the portions (though the food consistently tastes good). I know absolutely nothing about traditional greek food, but I know a good restaurant. The ambiance needs improvement because the lighting is very poor. I do like the appetizers and the soup a whole lot (but then again, I dont know what it is supposed to taste like in the first place).

One of the few places in Davis to dine where it isnt too loud to enjoy a conversation with the people with whom you are dining and no TV distraction! Love the ambiance and low noise level. The food was good. Not generous portions for the price. . . Except for the cheap stuff like bread and potatoes which they give plenty. Only four walnut size pieces of chicken on my kabob for $17.

Such great food...and the pizza is the best in Davis...maybe even Sacramento area. I was surprised the first time we ate here (it was right down the street from home). We were just having our car worked on, and had some time to kill. We were lucky...we just usually get the mushroom pizza for us and the pepp pizza for the kids. Fan for life!

Perhaps one of the great tragedies of this place is their varied and tasty menu. For the classic pepperoni pizza which they serve is singularly amazing. However, because the rest of their food people feel that they are eating "just" pepperoni. Well to them I say a great restaurant turns "just" food into food beyond equal.

First pizza we got had the saltiest feta cheese Ive ever had. The second time we went on a Saturday it was closed. This one we ordered with sausage and it came with Canadian bacon or ham on it. Starting to understand why the place is always empty. The search for decent pizza in Davis continues.....

Went here for my mothers birthday. We came specifically for the Moussaka, which they dont generally make on Sundays. They went out of their way and made it for my mom. The food was good and we enjoyed our meal. Great customer service and I recommend the Symposium.

Best pizza spot in Davis. The other menu items are tasty as well but not as outstanding as the pizza. The restaurant feels cozy and quiet despite being a relatively large space. I just wish they had a better beer selection to go along with their pizza.

Wow! After having an awful experience at Little Prague in downtown Davis we were told about Symposium. This is the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to. The staff (our waiter was a nice Russian girl) was so nice and the lamb is outstanding.

Ill echo the sentiments on all the pizza Ive tried. We are in Davis about every 6 weeks, and look forward to the treat when we get to town. We always order take out. Food preparation time is not rushed, so plan 45 minutes for a pie.

The "Symposium Special" pizza I picked up last week was just about the best pizza Ive ever had. It was almost like a deep-dish, loaded with toppings. Ill never order from Round Table again.

They have the best Lamb, I always order it. However, the last time I was there, I ordered the scallops. They were cooked to perfection. The rice is so moist and flavorful too.

Food was alright, except alot of dill in everything. Seating is crowded and uncomfortably close and it is kind of pricy. It has good bread and appetizers though.
