August 2017 review: What happened to this place? Their food used to be good. For some reason they added pork to their verde sauce and hardly fill the enchiladas. Chips are hard and inedible. I wont be back. Five star review from a year ago: The only Mexican restaurant in Davis (this is probably the 6th Mexican restaurant Ive been to) that has verde sauce for enchiladas. Their hot salsa is actually spicy. Chips are good too.

To start, the staff is friendly. I ordered for breakfast the huevos rancheros. It is a plate that had eggs on a corn tortilla slopped with some canned tomatillo sauce (bland) with a side of guacamole, canned refried beans and rice. It was topped with boiled chunks of pork. It was just terrible. I was really looking forward to eating here based on the reviews. What a disappointment!

They took complete charge with their stainless steel grill and margaritas. Food was hot fresh and delicious. Had some custom dishes which they had me sample and then prepared for me. Everyone delighted and have many requests to know who they were so they could hire them. They hit it out of the park.

This place is always Packed at lunch or dinner, sometimes the line is literally out the door so come early or late. Food is great and good prices. Im here once or twice a week. If you like burritos like i do, then pick up a reward card. The 11th one is free!

I come here during my lunch breaks and as for timing, they are really quick even if they have a lot of people. As for food, its really really good authentic Mexican food. They give you generous servings and serve-yourself chip station. Highly recommended!

Food is not bad. It comes with flies, I mean, a lot of flies. Alive ones. It is an original Mexican food restaurant all-right. I believe that the tables are original as well, dirty, never cleaned. Sticky. If youre in for the food, have it to go.

Nice staff. Very popular with business professionals and police officers to grab a quick bite to eat. Very busy from 12-1pm for obvious reasons. Nice shaded outdoor seating under a large oak tree. Inside restaurant is small and crowded.

A step up from your local hole in the wall place! When the weather is nice they have a large outdoor seating area. Youll run into a lot of locals from the south and east side of town. The food is decent and made quickly.
