Summary available at bottom if you want quick version Ive not only been coming here regularly but i also have been converting my friends to this magical place! First off understand this is your average mom and pop! Peter(the owner) is a very passionate hard working man who knows what he is doing! Yes sometimes its busy and it takes a while to get your drinks or food. Who cares? ! The quality of the food for the price is amazing (especially for being in such a ritzy area). See what it prob is is that they dobt deal with any corporate melarchy. So they dont go super crazy to get peoples satisfaction. Yes , if you have complaint theyll help you but if you whine and moan and scream ...youll just get asked to leave. Im shocked to see how people act sometimes when they arent given what they want. Overall though the staff is friendly and amazing if you give them respect. Now that we have environment and staff, lets talk about food. Appetizers are phenomenal. Penne and cheese is probably the best mac and cheese item i ever had! Seared ahi can be a plate on its own if not too hungry, and the clams are extremely delectable(try asking got clams with noodles! Amazing!). The burgers are wonderful. Ive had both California, point, and salmon burger. Salmon burger was something new but not at all bad. If you get one though go all out with everything including condiments! The clam chowder is good but must be in bread bowl! It makes the meal! It would be nice if they offered a side salad with meals though because the vegis are always fresh anf delicious! Now the miso salmon is def a good choice if you love fish and the pizzas are one of a kind! I bet all of you are getting hungry at this point but i still have few items. First off if you go on busy time (sunday/Monday causr of football), you HAVE TO try the sliders or my favorite carne asada nachos! Then if youre still hungry or on a date, you MUST get the calzone! It is pricey but incredibly worth it! Well i hope those who choose to read all this try out The Point with an open mind! Summary Pros: -high quality food -friendly staff -amazing atmosphere -live band or dj some nights -kids cave Cons -small menu but can ask for things like linguine and clams -parking is crowded and confusing -need sign if coming from south pch (5 fwy) Perks -Discounts for military with ID -Kids meals comped ONLY at specific time -staff remembers regulars

Stopped by on a Sunday morning to watch my hometown team play football (they have Sunday NFL Ticket!), place was packed, which was a good sign to us as this was our first time there. Mimosas were $3, Bloody Marys were $4, so a good drink special for the day. They serve breakfast from 9am-12pm (lunch starts at 11am). Both menus looked good and as the food was being brought out from the kitchen it also looked pretty good. Looks were spot on, our food was delicious. Service was excellent. Our initial server helped us scout out a table by the TV that was playing our game even though it wasnt in her section, which was awesome and we really appreciated her going above and beyond. We know next time to get up there a little earlier to get a table. :) This is definitely our new football place for the season. Note: there are a decent amount of TVs (all games are being shown) and each one has a tag on it with which games will be playing on each TV so you can seat yourself accordingly to what you want to watch.

Took a drive with my girlfriend from North OC. We decided we wanted to try a new place to eat a burger. And boy was this place super good! The very minute we walked up the stairs we were greeted with a smile and a friendly hello from a young man (believe his name is brady). The place was very busy and he said you may sit anywhere. We chose outside and we are glad we did. Because Brady was our server. Again the place was very busy. But this guy was rockin all over the place making sure his guest were taken care of and happy as well. I got the bbq burger with cheese and a side of garlic fries. My girlfriend had a grilled chicken breast sandwich with sidewinder fries (a must try, thanks for the recommendation). Brady suggested trying the spicy ketchup which is made locally in Dana Point. Another must try, super tasty with the perfect kick. Thanks for the great experience Brady! Because of your great service and of course the food. Well be back again!

This is a somewhat underrated bar in Dana Point that should be getting a lot more attention. The staff is very helpful, always in a good mood and always full staffed. Theres a wide range of sports playing on all of the TVs, and on Sundays during NFL season, the atmosphere is electric as fans from all over the country congregate to watch their games. The food is also of very high quality, for a "sports bar". Having eaten there many times I have never had a bad meal. Burgers are amazing and the pastrami sandwich is something that has to be experienced.

Service was passive, but that can be a plus for a sports bar. I took my young niece, nephew, and parents because it showed on Maps with a "kid-friendly" notation, but the location wasnt kid-friendly as the general public might expect; it was more on the "bar" side of the spectrum. The view was scenic, the food was better than average pub fare.

Nice "locals" bar and restaurant that avoids tourists like the plague. Had a turkey sandwich and fries along with a couple Lagunitas IPA. Sports on the tv, nice employees, nice place for an inexpensive meal out of the tourist district.

The staff is extremely nice. The food is some of the best in town. The happy hour menu is fantastic... What more can I say? Give it a try, you wont regret it. (There might even be a live musician playing)

Probably one of the best omelets Ive ever had, service was wonky though. They kept bringing the wrong plates of food out. Actually service was kinda horrible, but I forgot because of the food.

Out for a Sunday drive and found this kind of by accident. But the food was good and the drinks were also good. Will be making many more Sunday drives in the future for brunch.

Wow, 11 minutes to get 2 beers and the place is 2/3rds empty. Ordered Spring Rolls, been 20 minutes and still waiting. Beer is good at least.
