I have visited this restaurant about a dozen times in the past few years, mostly for breakfast and once for take-out. I have to say that this place is popular and fabulous! The display of food alone is artistic and appealing. And then there is the actual taste: real quality ingredients and care go into the preparation of everything Ive tried here! It is a order-at-the-counter kind of place, with rustic-looking decor inside and outside (not a garden cafe setting). Beautiful people are found here interspersed with ordinary looking ones. You will see attractive people of all ages in all manner of dress: at the community table where I last sat, there were 3 women in their 30s- one blonde and white, one Asian, one African-American, all of them skinny and with huge diamonds on their ring fingers - chatting over cups of coffee about husbands and children. Youll also see fitness nuts in their 60s, lean and ready to ride their bikes another 40 miles, well-heeled grandmothers with their fidgety grandchildren, teenagers enroute to the beach, tourists stopping for a bite. I LOVE their pastries and salads! All the breakfast items come to you fresh and hot. The only thing I dislike is the noise level of happy customers all chatting at once as they enjoy their feast!

I just fell in love with exploring good coffee around CA . Zinc Cafe & Market was recommended by a friend, and I ordered (perhaps) the most popular Tiger Island Latte. Its disappointing. The coffee was too sweet and lacks flavor. Comparing to the coffee of roughly the same price I had at another place yesterday, Zinc Cafe & Market is definitely overpriced. This may be my last time to visit here. BTW, I didnt order its food.

I was very surprised when I went in and saw the selection of foods. The atmosphere was great and the price was reasonable. I had the eggplant lasagna and it was very good, and the salad that came with it had a very elegant dressing. Overall I wouldnt mind eating there a couple times a week, and Im not a vegetarian.

Bright, open, naturally-lit establishment boasting an impressive array of fresh food (from the healthy to the decadent), fine drinks, and scrumptious pastries! We thoroughly enjoyed this upscale-yet-casual cafes first-rate epicurean offerings and easy-going vibe.

Small and noisy. Inexpensive. This is a salad, soup and sandwich place. Servings are ample. Small seating area. A small free parking lot and street meter parking available. Tight but wheelchair accessible.
