My husband and I love this place. It feels warm and welcoming because the wait staff is so gracious and accommodating. The food is traditional diner items. Old fashioned recipes well executed, large portions and reasonable prices are much appreciated!! I usually get the Sugar Plum Special Skillet or the Steak and Eggs. The hubby usually gets the Chicken Fried Steak or Corned-beef Hash. The location is easy to get to and has parking in the back. Inside could use a face lift but we wouldnt want it to loose its old-fashioned charm.

Well they didnt offer egg whites more healthier and also they dont have soy or no dairy for those who cant have milk products. Other than that service was excellent I sat down didnt have to wait long for help. I was asked if I like anything to drink it ask for coffee was good and hot. So I may come back again for the most part. I would recommend it to come and eat something quick and easy. In and out. Also, I asked for anything to go that request was forgotten and apologized and put everything I order it a to go box and bag. Ok Thanks!

This place is a relic - 50s (?) fixtures and decor, which could be charming, but the vibe was off. I was not greeted as I came in and had to figure out where to place my order. A couple of acquaintances raved about the place, so I wanted to give it a try. I wont be coming back here again. The same person collecting cash is handling food. Thats not the best thing in and of itself, but she picked a credit card up off the floor and then handled food, without batting an eye or washing her hands. Sanitary conditions, anyone?

Been there a few times. Okay experience with just okay but last trip left a bad taste. Literally. My son got a waffle with blueberries (he LOVES them) but that day they looked frozen, wrinkly and old. I thought, okay if its still thawing but they were awful. Yes they were frozen but today I just pulled a month old bag of frozen berries from my freezer and they looked and tasted A LOT better. Jyst because its a kid you shouldnt pass off old and bad food.

I grew up with this tiny hole in the wall coffee shop. It might not look like much from the outside, but the wait to get a table should tell you something. They are kind, quick, and tickle your taste buds. I will love the food, atmosphere, and effort that they put into this place. When I want a really good hearty breakfast this is where I come. The prices, service, and food really keep me coming back.

Cash only, small time diner with classic food. Everything tastes as you would expect, but the stand out players are the fluffy biscuits and Joses Breakfast Burrito. The staff is pretty attentive and friendly, and you can expect it to be a little run down and outdated inside. (I think its been there for almost 50 years) Try their chili in the winter if youre there for lunch.

I ordered the steak sandwich w/adjus & potato salad, asked for fruit & was told they have none, weird, disappointed that the steak was the pressed "steakum" drenched in the adjus, way too salty for me and the potatoes in the salad were hard and undercooked, dont order this, they may do breakfast well but this should be taken off the menu

My wife and I have passed this place so many times since weve moved to Concord, and today we finally went in. The service was great and the food was even better. The staff was very welcoming and friendly...and on it with coffee refills! You definitely get that old coffee shop feel when youre there. We will definitely be back!

This place is part of my community...Its my home. Sugar plum is very mom and pops, and it has that warm, welcoming feeling to it. The crowds are not your trendy types, rather, regulars, and new comers. I have been going there for about 12 years, so my comment may sound bias, but i can assure you will get a hot meal there.

Best customer service as of yet, little mom and pop breakfast place is worth every visit. Words cant explain the food. Why is this the only place that knows how to make breakfast. It is busy and I wish they where open all day. I should give four stars but the food and service are amazing

A greasy spoon which has been around forever - often went here growing up as a kid on the weekends. Friendly service and decent food. Only criticism is it has always been pretty dusty on all the blinds/fans/decor in the restaurant which is kind of distracting for clean freaks like me.

Ignore that idiotic "if you look Asian..." comment. I look Asian, from Hong Kong in fact, and I was treated fabulously. The steak and eggs breakfast I had was really good - great price too. I much prefer to patronize local restaurants over big chains such as Dennys.

Went for breakfast , portions are very good size , prices are average around $10 per person , meal wait was around 5 minutes they bring your drinks right away , staff very friendly , atmosphere is like the 70s , brings back memories ....

Good breakfast... I give 3 because I was the only walking in and the waitress didnt acknowledge me even though she walked by me and returned to another costumer.... not even a good morning. ..otherwise... service was good

Real 1960s breakfast experience. Loved it. Eggs, bacon, awesome hash browns, and a little biscuits and gravy to top it off. Delivered in a jiffy. Regulars coming and going. Nice experience. Thanks.

Overall experience went well. Waitress on to of her game. My coffee mug was never empty and the food was excellent. The interior of the restarant was a little outdated but the service was excellent.

A wonderful little local place. Open for the best breakfast and lunch. Home style food. The staff seems to be family and makes customers feel they are too. One of Concords best little secrets.

Old-school diner that was probably your grandparents favorite place to have a shake after school. Only open for breakfast/lunch. Always great food, no matter what you order.

Classic old school feel. Exactly why I came here. Service is slow... Really slow. Parking sucks even there is a back lot. Food is great if you got lot of time to wait.

This is a classic American diner with a solid, affordable breakfast available super early in the morning. I enjoy the early morning conversation at the counter.

Its a great diner, been here forever. They cooks the eggs right and portions are quite generous. They have a counter to sit at, booths and tables with chairs.
