This visit was a late night pie run! We walked in around 9pm and were promptly greeted by the servers and a gleaming pie display case. Everything looked clean with surprisingly modern decor. I got a slice of key lime cheesecake and blueberry pie to go. The key lime pie was rich and smooth and not too tart from the lime. The blueberry pie was...hearty? I warmed it up but it kept its form. This is was the first time I had tried it and it seemed like someone was a bit heavy handed with the gelatin. As a result the texture was weird but the flavor was good. Just so you know, I am a berry pie connoisseur. I will just have to come back and try all the other berry pies until I find the one that is just right!

I asked for an omelette they brought me scrambled eggs with the ingredients that were supposed to go into a Denver omelet. The pieces vegetables in the omelet peppers, onions were large and very uncooked. The Omelette had an excessive amount of onions that overpowered it. The waitress was a good waitress she is very courteous and attended to what I needed. I would not go back. I spoke to the manager he said it address he would address the problem. He never returned to speak to me. I felt he could have at least stop by and apologize and said thanks for coming please come again. He never did so that in itself is a reason one of the reasons I will not return.

1st time customer at Buttercup Grill & Bar and we were rather impressed. The service was swift, the food was overall delicious and we will definitely come back again. The only 3 issues I had were 1. That the hash browns tasted a bit over done and the oil tasted just a bit old. I dunno if it might just have been the overcooked flavor, though. 2. My bfs OBrien potatos were a bit cold and 3. The cinnascuit tastes a bit microwaved - like the texture was a bit off from being reheated. But, even with the 3 faults, they were easily overlooked by us because everything else shown so well. Well definitely come again :)

This is a hit and miss. Half the time the food and service is amazing, the other half its a serious let down. Example: Weekday breakfast omelette order came with 50% black guacamole. The waitress should have caught it and never delivered it. We brought her attention to the issue which she quickly resolved with a new omlette and super fresh guacamole. Unfortunately theres usually an issue half the time we come here. Burnt toast, water that tastes more like chlorine than water, burnt ham... So I guess its a great place if you like to be surprised. :)

Its a nice place with a decent location. Pricey. Nice interior & decor. Great for parties. Great service. Friendly staff. Not usually busy. Outdoor seating. Comfortable. Average wait time for food. About 20 minutes or less depending on your party size. Lots of menu options. Vegetarian. Vegan. Gluten free. Assortment of beverages and wines. Bar. TVs. Decent cocktails. Overall, the buttercup is the best versatile bar and restaurant Ive been to. Just wish it wasnt as pricey.

I have always gone into the Walnut Creek restaurant and loved it - I was so thrilled to find out that they have a place in Oakland and Concord, too! NEVER have I gone in here to eat and come out less than completely satisfied. Great selection on the menu - I recomend the Tuna Melt - service that makes you feel like you are family, and even their coffee is good! Forget those Egg McMuffins and crappafrappachinos - this is the place for a REAL MEAL at a low price!

I love the Buttercup! I love the one in Walnutcreek even more. But my favorite server went to work at the Concord Buttercup, so I had to start going there to eat. Same person owns all 5 Buttercups, and all upper management is family. The food is great at all of his restaurants, but the best service is at the Concord Grill& Bar.

the waitresses at this restaurant are the rudest Ive ever seen.I always give people a second chance but they always act the same way every time I go there. enough is enough they just lost a customer. all they want from you is a good tip. thats not good honest work values.

Benedict was done just the way I like it, I love breakfast here! Going to try dinner soon. Place was packed (line went out the door) on a Sunday morning and yet seating was quick and food was out briefly, customer service was superb. New fave place!

Employees were nice however it would take a long time to get our requests taken care of. (Napkins, water, Butter, Jams and Jelly for the toast Plus the food was not really hot. I think they tried to give it to another table before getting it to us.

Place looks newly remodeled and the staff was very welcoming to me and my wife. The place wasnt too busy so we were checked on often to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Great service and we look forward to trying their breakfast options

As this is my home away from home, the staff have been like family. The food is great! I heard about The Buttercup Cup from my friends Paul and Armando. You get you moneys worth in portions, thats for sure! I highly recommend you try it.

We have our group luncheon here in the side room. Everything was redone from the floors up, with old time Concord/Clayton photos. Comfortable, great menu, full bar, pie and the best ice cream!

New Pronoia Bliss

This used to be across the street. Nice, updated interior that is relaxing. The waitstaff is friendly, the food is edible, and theres even a frequent dining card for dessert of the month.

Great service. The meat loaf was good, but had more parsley on top than I like. The tortellini was excellent as was the baked potato soup. Great for a quick dinner.
