If you are in the area and hungry for something breakfasty, you would be silly to miss out on 42nd Street Bagel. Not only is there a plethora of bagels (21 rotating options) and tasty variety of cream cheeses (9), but they have a deli style menu for lunches served on breads or bagels! Also, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive to the cleanliness of the shop. Get creative with you selection, try something you have never had, your expectations will be exceeded! My personal favorite is a Pumpernickel bagel will Garlic Herb cream cheese! Only bummer: No Wi-Fi

This is another one of the places I always visit when I come back to LA/Claremont. They generally have about 10 or 15 different types of bagel (blueberry, salt, jalapeño, cinnamon, etc etc) and offer a variety of bagel sandwiches, toasted bagel with cream cheese (I like the berry cream cheese on a blueberry bagel), and toasted cinnamon sugar which is awesome. They also have coffee and espresso drinks which are reasonably good too (Id prefer a double strength espresso from here than starbucks just down the road for example).

The selection of bagels is alright (they usually quickly run out of the most popular kinds), its quite pricey in my opinion and the portions are small. With that said, the food is decent, their selection is quite large and the staff are warm, welcoming and attentive. Ive never been disappointed with my experience at 42n Street, but never overly impressed either.

Although this place has a huge variety of bagels, get there early because theyre popular and run out every day. I like to get there before 11:00a. Youll also find tons of different spreads, and lots of good coffee. Theres usually a crowd, but not too hard to find an open table.

My only critique is that they run out of the best bagels so if you come layer in the afternoon there are not many choices. Usually onion, pumpernickle poppy seed, and wheat bagels are leftover

Only tried the one time, but their bagel breakfast sandwich and coffee is pretty good grub - reasonable prices too. Think we paid $10-12 for 2 sandwiches, 2 coffees and a juice.

Never found bagels any better than at 42nd St. I routinely get requests to send them to my daughter out of state. Staff is always friendly and shop always clean.
