So Im Filipino, but Im not going to sprout out claims that fast food Filipino is not authentic. Heres the bottom line: this place is fast, this place is good, you get tons of food, and its relatively cheap. For me Pinoy-Pinay is the ideal fast Filipino food. When I came in a group of 3, we are all usually stuffed when we share 2 combos. Suffice to say, most people that come here get the 2 item combo with white rice. So now, lets get courageous! -=-Sinigang-=- We didnt get the full-fledged sinigang with meat, but just know that as long as you ask, each combo can receive a complimentary bowl of sinigang soup (sour soup in other cultures). From what I hear, its an acquired taste, but Ive probably already acquired mine since childhood. This place serves it just as I remember it, so no complaints at all from the sinigang here. Complimentary, why not. -=-Kare Kare-=- This is one of my childhood favorites. Its oxtail meat in a peanut sauce. There is also tripe in there as well. It goes perfectly with bagaong (shrimp paste), and theyll usually give you a complementary cup of this. I like how the kare kare here is not watered down as it is at other places. As with most other Filipino dishes, everything goes well on top of rice. -=-Kaldereta-=- This is a heavy beef plate that is in a tomato based broth. Its thick and may come across as too salty to some. There are peppers in here that give it a certain zing, but its not spicy by any means. This isnt the first of my choices, but its usually a safe bet when I dont see my favorites. -=-Lechon-=- This place seems to have consistently good lechon. It hasnt backfired on me yet. Lechon is a roasted pork dish with emphasis on the crispy skin. Its always the most oiliest dish you can ever get at a Filipino place, so prepare for that. But this is by far probably the most popular dish you can ever get. Lechon is the official food dish of the Philippines. Even the likes of Anthony Bourdain fauns over it. The lechon sauce usually balances out the oiliness, but really theres no escaping. Make sure you have plenty of white rice to try to balance it out. This stuff is delicious. If you havent had it, get it now.

*We interrupt to bring you a special public service announcement* Pilipino food is not health food. In no way is it to be referred to/part of a healthy lifestyle. The cuisine is either too salty/greasy/fatty/sweet or a combination of 2 or more. *We now return you to your regular programming* Pinoy-Pinay has been serving turo-turo in Cerritos for a long, long time. I remember there was a flower shop that was located to the right of the restaurant before it expanded. The plaza also houses the other Pilipino eateries, Red Ribbon & Jeepney Asian Grill. There was also a Chow King situated there before they closed it down due to the new one opening in Seafood City. The dishes are typical of all turo-turo joints. Again, you can throw healthy out the window. You can literally see a 1/2 inch to an inch of fat on cuts of pork. Pilipinos loooooovvvvveeeeee cholesterol. My go-tos are the barbecue pork w/tomatoes, onions & green onions(inihaw baboy), lechon kawali and laing. Plenty of seating is available thats serviceable, nothing fancy. For those that like Pilipino programming, you can watch news while you scarf down your 2-item combo. Its comfort food, plain & simple, which is fine by me Recommend!

Consistenly good! Been eating here for many many years. I will keep coming here for down home Filipino comfort food. In fact, it is our default stop when my wife does not feel like cooking at home. Its not as good as her cooking, but Pinoy Pinay is definitely the next best thing.

If you want fast Filipino food this is one of your places. Its pretty typical greasy and meaty turo turo. They serve the standard Filipino dishes, they do a pretty good sisig. They also sell boba drinks but frankly Id go across the street for that.

Next level. This is why you cant give away the 4 star ratings, people. If you have any chance at all, eat here. Do it! You will thank me. Its a set four-course menu, changes every four weeks based on seasonal vegetables.

Food is average, service is miserable, they cant even get buko juice right. Wouldnt be so bad if out was cheap but it isnt. Very disappointing. DJs in Carson is far superior for filipino fast food.

Some of their Filipino dishes doesnt taste authentic. They must have used white-washed ingredients I assume.
