I have only been here a couple times and each time, just meh. Everyone raves about how great their food is, but I must be ordering the wrong things. Just the other day, I ordered the Cafe salad. Greens, pecans, goat cheese, pears, and balsamic vinaigrette. How can you mess that up, right? Well, using canned, mushy pears, THAT really messes up a salad. Wilted the leaves, made the pecans wet and soft, and made the goat cheese runny. It was a to-go order and therefore this was not noticed until I was at home. But, what a disappointment. Otherwise, it couldve been a really tasty salad.

Today was my 1st experience at Urbane Cafe. I was greatly impressed by the fresh food, friendly staff & happy guests! I ordered my club sandwich on-line , I arrived a few mins early & had my meal a few mins later (right on time). The sandwich w/salaf was very good quality & fresh! The value was amazing too....I have eaten next door to this place & paid a lot more for a 1/2 sandwich w/salad. I will definitely be back...cant wait to try the rest of the menu!!!

Urbane Cafe sprung up in Ventura and has since expanded all over Ventura County. The foundation of their menu is their unique fresh bakes discs of bread on which they load up fresh ingredients to formulate creative, delicious sandwiches. Salads also come with a few slabs of the fresh bread and similarly come in a variety of fresh flavors. Clutch location for sandwich lovers, fresh bread addicts and those looking to grab a healthy bite on the go.

Urbane Cafe is consistently good. We pry come here 1 time every 2 weeks choosing between the kale quinoa salad or one of their sandwiches. Their bread is cooked onsite and always fresh. The dressing for salad choices are good from the balsamic vinaigrette to the chipotle ranch (our favorite). If you have not checked this place out yet give it a try for lunch- you cant go wrong!

I moved away from Ventura County a couple years ago, but I make sure I swing by an Urbane Cafe every time I visit home. Their sandwiches are always excellent and Im never disappointed with the salads. Do yourself a favor and ditch panera for good - urbane has the best sandwiches youll find in Ventura county.

The food is fairly healthy and I crave the cilantro chicken salad with cilantro dressing at all times. If youre going on a lunch break, order ahead by phone, their app, or their website. I suggest the last two because youll have paid and then you can just grab it and go.

Good sandwiches, but beware, this plays at being healthy, but their sandwiches are 800 calorie bombs. Thats almost as much as two Big Macs. (Id rather have the McDs)
