I almost cant review this because I never got my food. I ordered through Eat24 and it said 10-25 minutes. I got there 25 minutes later to pick up and the lady at the counter couldnt find my order. As I was standing there, she got a call from Eat24 confirming my order. I had a party going at my home so I had to leave and they said they would deliver it as soon as it was ready. I went home and called about 10 minutes to see the status. The person on the phone said it was already out for delivery. Im 5 minutes away. Half hour later no food. Called again and they said it left when we first called. I finally called Eat24 and they said the restaurant was at fault because they never confirmed on the app they received the order, which was why Eat24 was calling them as I was standing there. I finally cancelled the order because the food never came. Never go here if you want to eat the same day.

If your goal is americanized Chinese comfort food, then Red Lantern is for you. Its about as good as it gets in that category, plus its quick and delivery is an option (though it can be a little while). Portions are more than generous. Price is right. Everything tastes better with a glass of red. Best eaten when your day has gotten the best of you. The Orange Chicken, though seemingly identical in appearance to the General, is remarkably better? Choose your own adventure. Anything Moo Shu is pretty fantastic and a slightly more wholesome option. Comes with a full quart of veggies and meat (mostly cabbage, onions, and carrots), lightly sauced but not sugary, served with the thin pancakes (tortilla adjacent) and rice. Enough for 3 meals minimum. Dont forget the spicy mustard. Leftovers? Put an egg on it. Breakfast.

The customer service is 5 stars. But here is why I gave it 2: Id go in there a few times each week to get brown rice to add to my meals when I didnt have time to steam it myself. A few weeks ago they were out, she asked me to wait 5 minutes, no problem. I see through the curtain that she puts rice in a microwave. I go to restaurants for cooked food, not microwaved food. Essentially, steamed rice, not instant rice (The nutrient density is higher in steamed rice). I shrugged it off and went back the next week thinking it was a day where they were out. I watch through the curtain again and I see them microwaving it again...not cool. I wont be back. I can buy rice for cheap and microwave it myself, but I refuse. I was going there in hopes that they actually cooked the food. I wont be back.

We ordered Kung pao chicken and lemon chicken. The Kung pao tasted very fishy, maybe it was deep fried in the same oil as fish. But that alone doesnt seem like it would account for how terrible it was. The lemon chicken barely had any chicken in it. It was cut very thin and then battered, but there was more batter than chicken and many pieces had no chicken at all. Both dishes were just awful. None of us could finish them and we just threw them both away.

We have tried it twice with different dishes and every dish has way too much onion and it all seems to be from the same basic dish with different ingredients tossed in to make it sweet and sour or kung pao or whatever

This is really an eye opener for us. We always go to places with much more flare than this one but when we tried out eating in here, it’s much cheaper in here and it’s as comfortable too.

So happy to find a good local Chinese restaurant. The food is delicious. Family members have requested it for their birthday dinner. Very good service.
