Great diner experience, great food, great service! Got the fastest cup of coffee in front of me Ive had in the 2 months Ive been living in Seattle. Not designer or artisanal coffee--just the great basic drip you expect in a diner. We had breakfast, which they serve all day. I had the garden scramble with feta cheese; veggies seemed fresh and not overcooked, hash browns were crispy just the way I like them (although they seem to be the usual reconstituted kind most diners use), and when I asked for honey with my English muffin the waitress asked if I wanted an extra plate to lay out the English muffin and pour honey over it. My husband had the Denver omelet and said it was good too. Bottomless cup of coffee, attentive service without being too much. The decor is old-time diner: stainless steel table tops, kitsch on the walls. Bonus points to the young waitress for instantly being able to name the lead singer of Journey. All in all a great value just a few blocks away from where youd pay much more for the same breakfast at Pike Place Market. Our breakfasts were around $8/apiece.

Breakfast was amazing and quick! Wonderful environment. I was so happy with breakfast that I decided to try lunch. The food was ok, but the diet coke didnt taste very good (I suspect a lack of syrup), so I drank water instead. After the meal, I asked to be not charged for the unconsumed drink. I was told "There is nothing wrong with our diet coke, because nobody has ever complained before but Ill give you the money back because youre unhappy about it". Just one of those experiences that leaves a bad taste in your mouth....

A half-block from my office, but....cant go back to a restaurant that does not have ANY butter in the restaurant, EVER. When I asked for butter for my pancakes I was told that they only use margerine in the restaurant. They also had only artificial creamer for the coffee. When I asked for cream or half-n-half I was told that they could find some milk for me. Sorry, but the food was not anything special and the lack of natural / normal dairy products means that I will not be back. Strange place.

I took my family to planet java because my friend told me it is a great spot for breakfast. Ambience was great..That was the only good thing I could say. Pancakes was burnt . The Ham was so hard I cant even slice it (the edges of the ham was black) I had to slice the edges off . scramble eggs was terrible. The waiter cant even take our order properly because she keeps assisting the cook. I could of went to IHOP or Dennys and paid the same amount I paid at Planet Java.

I really enjoyed this place. Very nice service and they make you feel welcome and good. Coffee is great, but its hard to get bad coffee in Seattle. I had chicken fried steak and eggs. Great texture and savory flavor on the steak. Gravy is very good. The breakfast is a great portion and very satisfying and filing. Perfect hash browns.

I love this place. Charming, off-the-beaten-path 50s diner that serves cheap American comfort food. The waitresses are really nice, and if youre a regular, theyll remember you and what you like. Usually busy, but lunch is quick and always satisfies. Im a big fan of their club sandwiches and burgers. Many locals favorite hidden gem.

A classic, american-style, diner with no-nonsense food and lots of clocks on the wall. Service is fast and friendly, the price is a little higher than most diners, but understandable given the location. The fact that every clock in the restaurant seems to tell a different time may cause an irrational sense of irritation.

After stumping upon one of there signs on the corner a coworker and I gave the place a try for lunch. The food was very good to excellent, the decor fit the place and the staff was very friendly. Looks like next time the family is in town it will be on the shortlist for places to grab breakfast or lunch.

Crowded but also a cosy familiar location. The service is very fast and customer oriented. I had brekkie with fried egg and blueberry pancakes. The portion was definitely enough for a European with a small tummy. btw. tasted delicious and was fresh and hot. Regular coffee is a little bit watery.

Went here with my son and my Dad. My son and I (hes 10) shared the big basket of fries. Dad got a bowl of chili. A large apple juice for the boy, and a Coke for me, Dad drank water. $20 before the tip. The bowl of chili was $7 and a side of jalapenos was $4. Seriously? I was not pleased.

We loved it. They were very quick to reserve a space for our party of 11, we had fast friendly service, good food and all for a very resonable price. We will be back again when we visit Seattle. Make sure you check out the bathrooms, I was told they were very entertaining.

This is the most convenient spot for Sunday brunch - simple and good. During Seahawks season the wait is a little longer but they dont forget to refill your coffee. We had a little credit card mishap but it was settled in a friendly way once a paper bank statement was shown.

Breakfast served all day long is great. Order the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, stacked! Youll get hash browns on the bottom, steak on top of that, then eggs on top of that. All smothered in country gravy.

Fun atmosphere doesnt make up for inedible food. Was hoping for a nice, greasy-spoon diner breakfast. Instead, got tough and rubbery burnt eggs and toast pre-slathered with margarine. Bon appétit, bin!

Perfect traditional American breakfast spot tucked in Pioneer Square. Tasty food comprised in a straight forward, what you would expect menu. Patty, Curtis and Ashley serve up the dishes with a smile.

Very solid, no-frills breakfast. Exactly what I needed when I just wanted some eggs and French toast without all the extra artisanal nonsense. Blazing fast service and smiling waitstaff.

Consistent. Nice people. Would be nice to have alcohol, but not a deal breaker. Classic American diner food. Be aware that this place gets a little busy on game days.

Real good real food. Bacon and egg breakfast, good coffee, and great service. If you are in pioneer square and are tire of tofu served in tears, this is your stop.
