Went last Saturday 12/12/15. The cover was $10. The place isnt huge, the downstairs is kind of like a cave. They were playing hip hop downstairs. I didnt spend much time downstairs as I found the rooftop much more fun. They had a light show going on and it was packed when I got there around 12am. The DJ was playing some good deep house music that reminded me of a club I used to go to in NYC. I really got into it and had a blast dancing. I recommend pre gaming before as the drinks are pricy after 11. I asked for some OJ ciroc and the bartender said $9 I gave her a $20 then she said $10 when she saw the $20. Kindof seemed like she was just making up prices. The drink came in a tiny plastic cup. It was definitely a very fun night though.

My girlfriend and I went here recently for brunch and we were glad that we did! I had the grand mariner french toast and she had the filet Mignon eggs Benedict. We also shared a side of grits and thick cut Canadian bacon. The french toast was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The eggs Benedict however were pretty amazing! Adding the filet Mignon made it something unique. The grits and bacon were also excellent. As for the service, our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. Well be back for dinner sometime

Someone needs to open a bar like this one by my house. $6 rotating selection of beers from all over! There were a LOT of brews from AZ when I visited though which I was a tad bit disappointed about because I wanted to try more of the local stuff, but hey. not complaining! Enjoyed the beers and the chill atmosphere. Its a simple bar with a few tables and seats at the bar. Glad we checked this place out! It was fairly packed for a Monday night too.

We were looking for something to do on a Wednesday night (last night 12-16-15) saw that the place opened at 9pm, we showed up at 9:30 PM and the bar was not open, doors locked, not one person around, NO note on the door indicating that there was an issue, opening late, new hours NOTHING. Needless to say, quite a disappointment. Another place was more than happy to take our money for our party of 10+ . Not a good look Bar Smith -Frustrated!

We went here for a bachelorette party. I couldnt believe how rude the bouncer was. Seems to me you would want to accommodate a large group of attractive women over the long line of guys you are patting down for weapons. We ended up going to another bar in the area and having a great time but I wouldnt waste my time coming back to this business.

Overall a decent bar/club. the rooftop is nice, with good resident djs and usually a good crowd (although sometimes it does get packed nut2butt). Decent drink specials, but dont expect to open a tab, theyll tell you some BS about the system being down >_> hate dishonesty.

Maybe I found my new bar! I love how the waiters and bartenders are so on it and even let you try each beer before you drink it! Theres plentiful of seats when we came at night.Nice "home" feeling bar not pretentious lounge. Total laid back feeling I love!

Place was totally dead when i went on a Friday night. The DJ seemed to be on his game but no one really showed up. I had a fun time people watching from the roof though. Check out the place next door Monarch. That place seemed to attract alot of people.

Great location. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The DJs here consistently impress, making Bar Smith one of Phoenixs best dance venues. Fridays and Saturdays get busy, with more crowds coming in by 11. This place always sports a positive vibe.

The DJs was playing some fire!! Oldskool And NewSkool... And they actually had turntables and was mixing and bringing it back!! Pretty chill spot to go if youre visiting and in the downtown Phx area.
