Not sure what it is, but Outback is able to get the general atmosphere of their restaurants right, but the food? I mean, it seems to be lacking in flavor, finesse, and overall quality. I have been to this Outback location many times. The staff is generally friendly, anyone that wants a friendly bar experience will find it, but if you want a good food experience, I gotta say, go somewhere else. The steaks are not the best cuts and the chefs seem to be a bit slopping in how they grill or pan sear them. I know this is a steak house, but if you really like steak, Im sure you would agree with me, this is not where you go to get a good cut, just saying. The fries are often soggy when they are served as a side. The side salads? Come one, they are store bought from Walmart, or at least thats what it tastes like. The burgers? Id rather get one from Sonic, sadly. They are thick and all, but the flavor, like I said, I mean its DRY!!! Im an American, burgers and fries are therefore my staple...I dont mess around when it comes to demanding a good burger. Furthermore, the bloomin onion, oh, bless it, comes out tasting like the badder was never fully absorbed. You can TASTE the dry badder on your tongue as you eat the blasted bloomin thing. That is so frustrating! The bread is good, though and the staff is quite friendly. I have been here several times and only once really had a server that I didnt really like. This place is a staple, mainly because of nostalgia and family history going to Outback, but it isnt my favorite place in the world to eat, Ill tell you that. Go across the street to Carrabbas (owned by the same company, by the way). Now THAT place, I can say, has some delicious stuff...fresh, too.

Outback is one of our favorite restaurants, we have rarely had poor quality, and usually it is very good. This location is a good one, we go here most of the time. We have had at least one female and one male waitstaff that were excellent, well above typical servers and that had a personality. They stayed on top of drink refills, without having to ask. Other servers have been good, nothing to complain about, really. They get busy like all places in Phoenix, and they may be slow at those times. Yes, I have had slow drink service here before, like every other restaurant that gets busy. People seem to be holding their breath, waiting for something bad to happen so they can write a negative review, these days. Youd never go anywhere if you kept that up for too long! This is a good place to eat, food is good and service is good.

I normally do not do this, but... I was disappointed in the steak. I ordered the 10oz RibEye and it was more like a Sizzlen Sirloin $4.99 piece of meat. It could have been 10oz but it was barely over 1/2 in thick w/ no marbling what so ever. The taste was not junk, but not what Ive been used to at a Outback. I would guess it was not a RibEye at all...... or a cheap cut? I usually stop at Albq NM right next to the Holiday Inn on US Hwy 25 on my way from Px to Ne and always go away happy. I was treated very good and even got a free drink because the waitress forgot the Horseradish crust, and I usually like both Med Rare to Med, but thought it strange that I was led to ordering it Med. rather then MR, and I can see why with the meat I was served. Ill give it another try, but I hope its better, or start to wonder why!

one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a restaurant. (might have been because we got there a half hour before closing) top of the line steak was not top of the line. very dry, didnt cook how we wanted it and no flavor. Also felt kind of rushed by our server Patrica and it seemed as though she didnt even want to hear us when we told her about our steak. again, maybe because it was late, but this is no excuse for being rude and not giving your customers the proper costumer service they deserve. I might try outback again, but not this one. This place is the reason why I dont ever order steak at a steak house.

I came in and am on crutches and a full leg cast. The hostess worked to get us promptly seated at a half booth so that I could comfortably stretch my leg. She also brought a child booster seat for my foot to rest on, and I never had to ask for any of it. She was the best, most friendly hostess Ive ever encountered. The waitress continued our positive experience by being quick and friendly. The bar was kind of slow making drinks but they were busy so whatever. Oh and he blooming onion was cooked perfectly. Def a great outback experience. .

This is the third time I have ordered the outback special steak and it was full of gristle. No quality restaurant should offer that kind of meat. If it so tough you cant chew threw it, it should not be on the menu. I do not want a free meal, I just will not go back to Outback. It used to be really good, but when the wait staff tells you that is what you can expect in that cut of meat, you know there is a problem. I am sorry, I used to like it a lot, but now I will use my gift cards to go to Carrabbas. Have never had a bad meal there.

Our server was inattentive at best. She is friendly but I asked her for what she would recommend for an anniversary dinner/ dessert, and she listed the dessert menu with no personal preferences for any. Hard to get her attention, she and almost all the other wait staff servers were busy chatting each other up, and I clearly heard her after being asked by the only server actually working if we were needing the check without checking with us. Overall the food was good but the $3 til was NOT EARNED.

The only good thing was the bloomin onion. I ordered parmesan chicken fettuccine with "all you can eat" shrimp. The noodles came cold AND with no silverware to eat it with. And the server couldnt be bothered to get me more than 1 small serving of shrimp, the whole dinner. About twenty minutes after I asked I finally got silverware but by then the chicken was totally outside temp. Never got more shrimp even though I asked. I used to eat here regularly, but probably wont now for at least a few years..

Is 0 Stars an option? Oh Outback, what happened to you? Ahi appetizer was premade and rubbery. We sent it back and our server made no comment about our concerns. Dinner came and he asked how our meal was before we tried it. Medium steak was well done and horrible. Garlic butter was left off but brought in a dish cold when asked and side dishes were missing. No offer made to fix anything. Nearly a hundred dollars for a meal that will result in me NEVER returning. Very sad.

This place used to be our go to place as one of my so s favorite. But last time we went we waited for more than 45 mins sitting at our table and the waiter assigned to us chose to serve the other table who was seated so much later than us. When I asked the waiter about it, she didnt even apologized and continue to serve the other customer. I felt like we were just neglected. I walked out furious and will never come back. I still go to their Surprise location.
