Dont get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE this restaurant and I dine here for lunch at least once a week or every other week JUST FOR THE FOOD AND NOTHING ELSE. But when I dine, I usually dine alone to enjoy my lunch hour in peace. However, Ive also dined here 3 times with other people and was treated WONDERFULLY, so Im beginning to notice a pattern and a difference in the service I receive alone vs. the service I receive while dining w/others. Being that I used to be a server, I know how most servers used to talk, think or act about serving diners who come in alone. They THINK that they dont have to frequent the table much because one person surely cant need that much, they THINK that they dont have to go out of their way to be energetic or friendly because they arent that thrilled to serve a table with only one person anyways, and they also THINK that they wont get much of a tip because its only one person dining....So, he/she usually comes to the table in a very nonchalant manner. There has also been a few times in which the servers walked back and forth past me (without acknowledging me) as I stood by the host/hostess stand waiting to be seated.This is the type of vibe I get from the servers every time I dine here. LITTLE DO THEY KNOW that Im a huge fan of TIPPING (being that Ive been a server before), but I do believe in a NONCHALANT serving experience deserves a NONCHALANT tip. If I were a secret shopper, this restaurant would receive an A + for the food, but an F for service. SERVERS: No matter the # of diners, race, gender, or appearance of a guest, you should always give each person EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE....ALWAYS! ALTHOUGH THE FOOD IS AWESOME, IM ONLY GIVING 2 STARS BECAUSE SERVICE IS ALSO A VERY IMPORTANT COMPONENT TO A WONDERFUL DINING EXPERIENCE...THAT IS ALL!

I work in the DT area so this is a VERY convenient restaurant for me, not to mention I LOVE japanese. They are the worst though, big disappointment. Not only did they score an 89 on their health score but their service is awful. If they get even the tad bit busy, they will not answer their phone to take call in/to-go orders, might I add their restaurant is relatively small so it seems hard for them to be "too busy". What type of business purposely avoid phone calls/business? I stood at the counter for 30 minutes and no-one acknowledged the fact I was there and would come to the counter to use the register and completely ignore me. When I finally spoke up and asked if I could place an order they refused insinuating they were too busy and I needed to wait longer but sat people who were walking in the door after me. If this was a one time incident I would understand but this place has been like this since they have opened, its just ridiculous.

This wasnt a planned stop, we tried eating at the Central. It was closed for lunch on the afternoon we were in town, that was a blessing in disguise. This place was amazing! The sushi was fresh and delicious, the hibachi steak was tender and perfectly cooked, and the service was excellent! Great atmosphere, great food and great service. We will be back.

Wonderful experience! Waiter was very nice and helpful. Sushi was out of this world!!! A bit pricey [paid around $70 for 2 adults + 1 child...however, I may have splurged a little...] but the food quality reflected the price. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. They have a great, big menu and it will leave you wanting to visit again!! A+

Sushi is subpar compared to other sushi places in Montgomery,it also doesnt help that it was more expensive. I will give them that they do a very good job off trying to name the sushi look "pretty".Me and my wife came at 7pm on a Friday. They were understaffed and the quality of service was not enjoyable. Will not be coming back.

The sushi was not good and when I tried to get something else they told me I had to pay for the sushi because I had ate one off of the plate. How am I going to know its good if I dont taste it? Nonetheless I will never visit here again.
