Good beer by Good People with a really good atmosphere! This place kind of feels like the "big tougher brother" of the Birmingham family of breweries with its large industrial style taproom accentuating the city forged by steel. Like Birmingham, Good People carries that southern-rugged disposition but with a bit of comfort, class, and swag that you can look up to and appreciate; even find yourself wanting to be apart of the family! Good thing is, Good People makes you feel at home with open arms and plenty of indoor/outdoor space & seating to relax and enjoy several offerings of good crafted beer with friends, family, or other good folks alike. Wedged in the panorama view of Railroad Park & Regions field, home of the Birmingham Barons, youll find more than a few activities to take part in while visiting. They even have several games, like corn hole and giant jenga, out by their covered patio. And while this isnt a brewpub, you can usually always count on a local food truck to be parked out front, or enjoy authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza next door; all of which are welcomed inside the brewery. And last but not least, if you enjoy pet friendly places, they are welcome to come along, just as long as theyre "good pets" ;) They have a few water bowls waiting on them just in case youd like them to have a drink with you! So go enjoy, & cheers!

Really good beer, but their staff is terrible. Ive been here several times and the experience has been the same each time. Theyve been established long enough to understand to staff up for the weekend, so theres no excuses. If you can look past the overwhelmed staff, then definitely come by and have a brew or six. Theres normally a good food truck outside if you need to grab a bite to eat, too. The Buffalo Rider is a tasty Shandy Gaffe, for those who like sweets. The flagship IPA and Snake handler double IPA are two excellent IPAs, for those who enjoy grapefruit. The Coffee Oatmeal Stout Brown Ale is one of my favorites out of their collection. Enormous coffee flavors dominate your palate early on, then an enormous amount of Willamette hop flavors sweep in as a cleanup crew. Its a wonderfully complex brew full of flavor yet tasty and palatable. Also, it is brewed with coffee from Octane Coffee Roasters from Birmingham, AL.

Good People is a fantastic brewery -- their beers are my favorite in town. Their servers are polite and knowledgeable. The brewery itself is really spacious, and you can sit at the bar or at large tables (big enough for groups) around the space. You definitely know youre in a brewery at Good People -- the ambiance is very rustic and the tanks are obvious no matter where youre sitting -- but the place is still welcoming, partly because there are games (like cornhole and a really big Jenga set) both inside and out. During Barons games, Good People gets really busy, but they usually open up a second bar on those nights, so its not too crowded. A few nights a week they have live music, there are often sports projected onto the big screen, and they invite food trucks into the parking lot on busy nights. Oh, and you can bring your dog!

Good solid beer from these guys, snake handler is one of my favorite IPAs right now. However, I was not too thrilled about what they are doing In the tasting room as far as pricing goes. I went in there and ordered a flight of beer and just pretty much sampled 4 4oz beers which adds up to 16 oz (pint). I ended up paying $16 for what added up to be one beer. I guess they do it to sway people into just buying a pint of beer rather than a flight but a guy like me, who comes from out of town just to try their beer, is going to want to get a flight. Either way, I have gone to better breweries and spent less than half of that on a flight of beer so I guess that is why I am a little bummed on their tasting room.

My girlfriend and I drove up from Mobile with the intent to tour the brewery and we were not disappointed. Good people is aptly named. Greg gave my girlfriend and I a tour of the facility and a background of the company, and I can honestly say Im impressed. Good People brewery does beer right. My favorite is the Coffee Oatmeal Stout, but the Brown Ale is hard to beat. I cant wait to try some of their new lagers, its not often that craft beer brewers have lagers. Keep up the good work Good People, well be back!

I am at LEROYS in the back alley behind the Capri Movie Theatre in Montgomery, ALABAMA. I am drinking Good People because of the following: a) I Think Global Act Local b) Brewed and 1st canned beer in the state of Alabama c) They sponsor Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival (Sidewalk Fest) in Birmingham d) I like the pick up truck logo e) It just works for me! ! !

Not a beer drinker myself. Went in for the first time with a friend to relax for a while. The bartender Jana hooked me up on some samples of a couple of different brews and we found one I like. I truly appreciate such excellent service, and I will definitely be returning in the near future with friend. Would recommend this venue without a hesitation.

Damn find beer, good bartenders who know their beers, and a great atmosphere make Good People a great brewery and a perfect place to bring folks from out of town. They also frequently have food trucks in the evenings including Eugenes Hot Chicken, Smoky Sams, and Cantina on Wheels so you can get some good eats to go with that delicious cold beer.

Ive never considered writing a review for a business but this business deserves it. Good People has shown me that Alabama knows how to make a damn fine beer. Im from Louisiana, where we take our alcohol very seriously. Good Peoples Pale Ale is absolutely amazing. It is easily the best pale ale in the south and likely in the country.

Convenient location and right across the street from Regions Field for before and after drinking. Outside patio has corn hole and also a large scale jenga with 2x4 pieces of wood. Our tour guide did a great job of going through the whole brewing process and even letting us sample some of the beer out of the tanks. Great experience!

Most appropriately named place on the planet. Great people and great beer here. Excellent, friendly staff. This place is our favorite brewery in Birmingham. Kat, Kerri and the rest of the staff always make us, and the other patrons, feel like family. They are the reason why we continue to come back.

Bring your dog (and get complimentary water), do some yoga on Tuesdays, enjoy live bands or a game of jenga. You dont just come here for the great beer-- theres a variety for every taste-- this is by far one of my favorite places to meet up with friends and the location is perfect to do so.

Best local beer selection and honestly my favorite brewery period. This place is dog friendly and just all around friendly in general. I really like that their beer always taste the same from batch to batch, which is not something that every brewery in town can claim.

Not only good people making good beer but doing numerous things to help others, the town, and the planet. Every time I happen upon a good cause, it seems Good People Brewing is involved. We dont need nike, coke, and bud... We need Good People! (go Jason & Michael!)
