A couple months ago, I saw this place being built. Im Korean and I was excited to have a Korean restaurant open just minutes from my house. When they opened, I made an effort to give this restaurant a try. First, the prices are somewhat expensive. There were some things in the lower teens but the things I wanted to try were mid teens to 20$. Secondly, the number of Korean items is very little. The restaurant is mostly Japanese food of all types, especially sushi. Dont get me wrong, I love Japanese food but I was mainly looking for Korean dishes. There are only about 5 Korean dishes on a multi-page menu. I ordered a Shoyu Kalbi Ramen bowl (14.95) and the 2 sushi roll lunch special (6.99), which includes a ginger salad and miso soup. The sushi was decent overall. My rolls were the spicy tuna and salmon/avocado roll. One peeve of mine is how some sushi places mince/shred the fish and then put it in the roll. Its like they had leftover scraps of fish and didnt want to waste it. You end up with a pasty fish concoction. Now, the salmon avocado roll had a whole piece of salmon in it. It pleased me. However, the spicy tuna was that minced fish concoction I mentioned before. The flavor was OK but just the texture of minced fish is just off putting. The ginger salad was typical of all Japanese restaurants. The miso however, had good flavor. I like my miso soups to be on the salty side. The Shoyu Kalbi Ramen was very good. Nice portions of enoki mushrooms, spinach, bamboo shoots, and other veggies. Kalbi only consisted of 2 chunks of Korean short ribs (L.A. style). My only wish is that they add more noodles. I mean for 14.95, its pricier than traditional Ramen places (Ive been to them in New York). Service was very good. Attentive waiter for sure. Overall, Ill probably return, but not sure when because of the limited Korean options and high prices.

The food is delicious no matter what you get. The sushi is made skillfully and you can almost taste the care put into it. Their food is made in the more Korean and Japanese style, rather than only making American sushi, and it is a nice blend. They also have options for people who dont do well with sushi, such as fried shrimp. The prices are excellent for the quality they offer. The sushi is probably the cheapest items on the menu, and as expected the more exotic the food the pricier it will be. I go everytime I come home from college, its been 4 times so far, and everytime the waitstaff are very nice and polite and cheerful and conduct themselves with good character. They come by the table frequently to check on you and to assist in any way they can. They are very friendly and dont drain your energy to interact with ( a blessing if youre an anxious introvert like myself). If theyre very busy the host will lead you to a table, but if its the middle of a weekday they will let you choose your own table. If you have room for dessert then I highly recommend the mochi. Not all the resturaunts in the chain carry every flavor, and the Gallatin one is no exception. So far as Ive experienced, they dont carry the mango or peach flavor, but the green tea is delicious. All in all this is now my favourite restaurant and I dont eat anywhere else if I get a choice.

ONE WORD... GROSS! The most terrible food ( cold chicken, watery sushi, fishy tasting fried rice, & bland entrees) ALONG with TERRIBLE service. Had to get up multiple times to get napkins, silverware, and ask bar for sofa refills! Another table beside us got up and left their full un-eaten dinner- YES IT WAS THAT BAD! Gave half of the party we were with Diarrhea, Nausea, & Stomach cramps for two days!! BEWARE! This deserves ZERO *s! YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!!

Please dont waste your money here. It was disgusting. Spent $12.95 for the chicken terrioki and they charged an extra $1.50 for spicy rice which was dried out. We ordered 2 egg rolls and they charged us $4.00 each for them. It was not good at all. We were hoping to find a decent Japanese restaurant close to home because Koi has gone down hill. So I guess Osaka is still the only decent choice here in Gallatin.

I ordered the steak teriyaki for $16.95 and was charged $1.50 to substitute fried rice for the white. Expensive for the very small portions youre given. Soup tasted like dishwater. Salad was good. Left fully 2/3 of the steak on my plate, all full of gristle and with no teriyaki taste (or any taste) at all. Would NEVER go back! Overpriced for the tiny portions you get. Visited November 2016

if youve been to the one in Madison, this new one in Gallatin is the cleaner, sexier, more contemprary version. The Cucumber Salad Roll was the most refreshing sushi roll Ive ever had in my life. i also love the mango mochi. wife was disappointed with the strawberry mochi but loved her sushi.

My husband and I went here and had an amazing experience. The service was impeccable, the waitstaff all checked on us multiple times, and even showed us the proper way to enjoy the delicious Korean dishes. By far the best restaurant in Sumner County.

Living on the west coast for over 20 years and having access to really great sushi, this place has been the closet to quality Im used to. Best in Tennessee that Ive had. Ive tried many places in middle Tennessee and this is the best

Waiter was very helpful. We had lunch there and it was reasonably priced with decent portions. The Korean Bulgogi was great. The sushi was good. They kept our drinks filled and served us very quickly. We will be back.

Some of the best sushi you can get. Service was a bit slow but even with a full restaurant we got our drinks and food in decent time. A bit pricey but its worth it.

Good food, nice people. Just make sure you know what youre ordering! Its Japanese an Korean fusion food, so its not quite as simple as your average hibachi joint.

Portions were huge and the prices reflected it. The food was above average, but the same can be had in many places close by for a bit cheaper.
