Never in my life have I been so insulted! I will never go back, and I am telling everyone who will listen about my experience. After spending over $600 for appetizers, dinner, drinks and dessert, we were asked to vacate our table before we were finished. I have eaten in some of the highest rated restaurants in this and other countries, and I have never been asked to leave the table. We were still eating dessert when the server informed us that there was another party waiting for our table. How rude and tacky! We were presented with the bill during dessert, and as soon as we finished dessert the manager told us that we needed to finish our drinks in another part of the pub. We had a reservation for that table. Apparently they only have one table that can seat more than four people. Thats not our fault. They either need to stop accepting reservations or learn how to book them properly. The parking was scarce and the parking lot was unpaved and treacherous. The service was luke warm, and it seemed at times that our server did not want to be there or had better things to do. Although I was finished, my appetizer plate wasnt removed until after I finished my dinner. Normally I wouldnt mind so much, but it is a very small place and space is at a premium. Let me continue by saying that they have very high quality beers. I cant say that the selection is great as there are several beer styles that are lacking, but what they do offer is high quality. The menu was limited and a bit pretentious. My food was okay, but it didnt meet the expectations I had after reading the descriptions on the menu. They are positioning themselves to be upscale and gourmet, but if you are a foodie like me you will be disappointed. If you are used to Budweiser and cheeseburgers, then yes, you will be broadening your horizons. If you like Belgian beer and are in a hurry then this may be the place for you. If you appreciate fine dining and good service, then save your time and money for an establishment that appreciates your business and serves better food. The Farmhouse is right down the street, their beer selection is good and the food is much, much better than here. Ive paid less money at the Farmhouse for a much better meal with infinitely better service.

First the beer selection is the best in the valley, hands down. The cheese plates are a must, complimented with a nice "head swirling" Belgian. I personally find that beer compliments cheese much better than wine, but this is just my opinion. Yes the lighting is by candlelight and the seating is half family style, but the food well makes up for it. Looking for Heinz ketchup? Wont find it here. In fact you wont find much in the way of condiments, because good food really doesnt need any. I think its important to know when reading reviews, the "when" someone visits. I personally go on weekdays. I have gone during a Friday/Saturday, but its a little to busy/hectic for me. I guess you could say that is another positive. Visit places that have a lot of people. Important note.....this is not a sportsbar. " Enjoy good food!"

We were very disappointed with our dining experience. The interior is rough-looking and not elegant at all. Everything has to be ordered a la carte, and not even bread came to the table with the entrée. The salad was enough to share, but it seemed to be made of iceberg lettuce. When the entrees came, our eyes probably showed our disappointment in the size of the meal. I had fried grouper, and my husband had scallops. There were only three scallops on the plate. There were 2 tablespoons of mixed vegetables and potatoes on the plate. The grouper was adequate, but there were perhaps three inch-and-a half pieces of sweet potato and two or three inch-and-a half French fries on the grouper plate. We went home and made a big dessert because we were still hungry!

We went to The Trapp Door for the first time last night. We will certainly be back soon. I think eclectic is probably the best description of the place, and our experience. The bar/dining room is small but comfortable. The food was amazing. We split the appetizer (a sushi tuna roll with smoked tofu) and the entree. That left enough room for dessert (peanut butter ice cream with bacon, chocolate cookies , and reduced banana). And the BEER. They have an incredible selection, and the staff can take you through it all. I dont typically write reviews, but we enjoyed ourselves so much that I felt compelled to get the good word out.

My favorite place in Emmaus for a night out. They have great beers on draft and cask that change as soon as one is out. The bartenders and servers are always educated on what is on tap as well as food pairings. The food is excellent and made fresh with local produce and meats. They even have live music twice a week which is a nice bonus. Great for a date night or catching up with some friends. Not the place to go for cheap beer and appetizers, make sure you want to spend some money, but it is totally worth it. Never a bad experience here. Great staff too!

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was cut up pork, not pulled pork The pork was dry, and the bread tasted stale. When I asked for gravy to with it, I received cold gravy! The dessert I ordered was good, it was chocolate bread pudding. The dessert is why I give this restaurant two stars instead of one. The lighting in this restaurant is ridiculous-everything is by candle light. I could barely read the menu. Even the waiter had to put a candle on his tray to help him see! What if he tripped and burned someone! I will not be returning.

I went here for brunch today, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I came for the Weyerbacher takeover, and got an omelette. This omelette, THIS OMELETTE, I tell you, was the best egg creation I have ever put in my face. It was light, fluffy, and the onions and mushrooms were perfectly cooked and seasoned. It has ruined other breakfasts for me. My boyfriend ordered some kind of pancake, and when it came out, it was a round, thick, cake, which was different, but was apparently very good. I will be coming back with a few friends.

Went for a business team dinner. Food was excellent, the atmosphere charming. At the end of the meal, one check was presented and we asked for it to be split. The waiter took the gratuity for the table, divided it evenly amongst the checks (which were not equal), and presented us each with a bill. Waiter then hovered around the table while ringing up each bill. Sour ending to what had been a good evening.

October 15, 2016: We loved the food here! Very unique and tasty. This is not a bar with typical bar food. Yes, they have a ton of beer, but the food is something you would get at fancy restaurant. I know its a beer place, but wish they would expand on their wine a bit. Its a small restaurant, so seating is tight. Youll need to make reservations. There is first-come first-serve seating at the bar.
