Theres a lot to like about Del Alma - I have dined here about a dozen times, so its not bad - but its not as good as it should/could be either. Their wine bar has a great deal of potential but their red wines are kept upright in the room, many have been there for some time, and I dont want to drink 68 degree red wine and certainly dont want to take one home (and their small selection is very good). I love wine flights but it takes so long for them to arrive and the amounts are so spartan that by the time youve gone through the flight you are ready to order another and their poor servers are running around like crazy because there arent enough of them (big applause to the one young guy who does most of the work - he needs assistance!). Anyhow, I go to Del Alma, like the food, its a bit sterile and bank-like, but all in all I like it but the service lacks (as there arent enough servers) and they arent on top of their wine bar experience enough to make it the kind of place to hang, drink and spend money. Have been waiting to review them hoping to give them more stars than this as I will no doubt return as its really the only grown up place to dine in Corvallis of any note.

Been here about 8 times. Its probably the best place in Corvallis which isnt saying much. It fares from moderate to great. However this evening it was actually quite terrible. Ive ordered the lamb shoulder 3 orders in a row multiple times in the last month. The first two times the lamb was, two great cuts of meat laid on top of potatoes and chanterelles. Minimal bone and fat and TWO cuts of meat.Today I was served a 29$ piece of dog food/un chewable gristle. I legitimately almost threw up while searching the lamb steak between the meat flavored bubble gum. The lamb shoulder is usually two cuts of lamb . Tonight only one, and it was pure gristle. I fed it to my German shepherd who loved it.29$ dog food thanks del alma! At least be consistent. If you are going to serve dog food. Just do it. Dont lead me on with good dinner. Then serve me trash. It makes me never want to come back.

Mediocre experience overall....... (1) Service exceedingly slow, with no apologies....2 hours for only 2 courses is ridiculous, given the prices (2) Salad truly inedible; I think they grabbed the wrong bottle for dressing.....so hot, none of us, even the "hot and spicy" lovers could eat more than a bite. Sent it back. (3) Table next to big square, looming pillar...no view of river nor could 2 of us see the guitarist. The Pillar took away dramatically from the ambiance. This was a reserved dinner; no reason for bad seating. (4) Waiter was---OK---but for those prices one expects better service and friendliness. Never checked on us, etc. (5) Food (and the second salad) was fine once we got it.

Time Being Farm
My husband and I have eaten here several times, and each time has been wonderful - their cocktails are spot-on, and the food is delicious and well-presented. Even the simplest of dishes is something special here. We especially love their house salad! Of course, the small plates are wonderful too, each bite is full of flavor and that rarest of things - pure kitchen alchemy. del Alma is easily our favorite restaurant in Corvallis, and definitely in our top three in the state of Oregon! You owe it to yourself to check it out.

It wasnt exactly what I was expecting. The food was average. The prices were on the upper end of modest. And the staff we had was only minimally knowledgeable of the menu. It wasnt unpleasant or disgusting, just wasnt my favorite. I may give them another shot down the road, but with so many great eateries and other new places to try in Corvallis, I probably wont be back for a little while.

Went here for Corvallis Culinary week and had the pork ribs with mole sauce, sweet potatoes and collard greens. The ribs were tender and the mole sauce was delicious. Also a big fan of the sides. Many gluten free options, including desert. The service was great, friendly, checked up on us regularly. Would recommend Del Alma for anyone looking for a nice night out.

Del alma is a good place to go if you are looking for a nice dinner. The entrees and drinks are different each month. Most hard alcohol are infused in the house. The food has nice flavor but the price is in the upper region.

We just wandered in out of the rain not knowing what to expect. They accepted us without reservations, under dressed and hungry. We had a great dinner and excellent service. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful tapas and drinks! Highly recommend. The price for tapas and drinks is pretty reasonable and well worth it compared to other places in town.
