Awesome atmosphere for family, friends, or date night. First, the sushi itself is terrific. Everything is fresh and flavorful and artistically prepared. Ive traveled coast-to-coast for work and the sushi is top-notch and on a par with any Ive ever had. We always let Chef Kho choose one or two of our rolls just for the surprise of what he will come up with for us and he never fails to create something wonderful for us. They always have a list of in-house specialty rolls that change from time to time that is only posted in the restaurant and they are always fun and unique! Lastly, the staff is just amazing. My family has gone here since my son was in a high chair (hes 12 now) and they remember and greet us like family. The service here is phenomenal; its friendly and quick and always professional and extremely courteous. This really is a special place and I HIGHLY recommend you try it out!

This place is amazing! There used to be a sushi place in Lyons...But that place left during the flood and I was never able to find anything of the same quality. But then my dad brought us here for my brothers birthday. The sushi is excelent quality and very tasty - there are plenty of options too so if youre picky, they most likely have it. And if you dont like sushi much, they have tempura and teriyaki platters as well! The staff were friendly and the service was very quick!! I was surprised how fast they brought the sushi to us, quite the team. I will say, this is not an everyday pace, prices are high as expected for fine sushi, but definately worth it for special occasions. Would recommend if youte looking for a good place for actually good sushi and Japanese quisine! Would come back and I am so happy to find this place, tiny needle in the hay stack it is.

We were questioned once we walked into the establishment, almost like we werent meant to be there.(maybe just a cultural barrier?)That feeling passed quickly and we were sat at 4 or so tables pushed together. We were having a birthday party with eight people. It was quiet enough to have a conversation, even though it was booked. Service was quite good. The sushi appetizers came inhumanly fast. They tasted good and they looked like they were made well. The entrees were brought on hot skillets. The food was piping hot and looked good. I had the teriyaki whitefish entree, it was really good. It was on the soft side, I would have slightly better if it were a bit harder. The fish was in my top ten favorites that Ive had recently. Overall a really good experience, the only thing that would prevent me from coming back would be the price.

I love bringing my friends from either coast here... I tell them that theres a sushi place out in the cow pastures that is better than any place theyve been to... Sakura has never failed to deliver. Great blend of traditional & modern... I prefer the shoes-off booths and deciding what to order for the first round. Ordering in waves is critical - order too much & youll be presented with a spectacular sushi/sashimi platter in a wooden ship. If youve played your cards right, something from the chef may come to your table.... whatever you do - dont refuse it & ENJOY IT! odds are, it will be something youve never had before, but it will help cement your visit as one of your most memorable dining experiences in the Denver area...

Sakura may be the best sushi restaurant in the country. It has always been one of my favorite places for sushi. I travel extensively, around the US and on occasions to Tokyo. Sakura has always served the best Sushi. One of my business associate visited. For dinner we went to Sakuras, After the dinner, HE SAID "IT WAS THE BEST SUSHI HE HAD EVERY HAD"(he also travel about 200 days a year). Give it a try you will like it.

Not the best sushi I have ever had, but definitely the best Ive had in Longmont. I have been to Sakura three times and the fish was fresh, portions large, and presentation nice as well. Every time I have been there it is not very busy so the service was very quick. It is a little on the pricey side. If you are looking for good sushi and dont want to leave Longmont, I would give it a try!

I love Sakura and look forward to going every time Im in town! I live near Washington DC but whenever I come home to visit family I ALWAYS make a stop at Sakura. They are delicious and the service is always great! They are the best Sushi Ive had. Ive been looking for something similar where I live and nothing has come close....my 1600+ mile journey must include Sakura!

As someone who came to Colorado from southern California, I am picky about my Japanese food. Sakura is the best place Ive found since moving here in 2008. Offering a mix of both traditional cuisine as well as the more American-geared and inspired fare, the quality is fantastic, and the service is always excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I have brought friends here from all over Boulder County and they all agree that this is the BEST sushi in the area. The fish is chilled to the right temperature and if you like SPICY, be sure to try the Check it Out roll. Great service and if you come on a weekend for an evening meal, expect to wait a while. It will be worth it!

My favorite sushi place! They give you lots of fish for the price, and much less fake crab filler than other places. Everything is so fresh and tasty. Even the other entrees are amazing. I dont even bother wasting money trying other places. And dont forget to leave room for the amazing fried banana or fried cheesecake.

Diamond in the rough. Never have I enjoy miso soup... Ever. Changed that tonight. Same goes for that traditional orange colored salad dressing. I should have figured out the name but I think know what Im speaking up. Once again, I now will enjoy this salad. On to the main dishes, they will knock your socks off. Enjoy!

Chef Ko and the entire staff at Sakura are fantastic. The sushi is absolutely incredible. The Check It Out roll is so good we drive from Centennial to Longmont every couple of months just to have one. If you like sushi do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Friendly staff, Kho, Helly, Lexi, Mandy, ... Small seating area family atmosphere if you take the time to enjoy it. The Love Boat and Cherry Blossom Boat are popular. If those are to pricey, try the Tiger Roll it is wonderful.

Rice isnt perfect and the tempura leaves much to be desired. Prices are also kind of high for the quality. Matsuri in Lyons has perfect food but service is better here. If youre local to the area, there isnt much choice.

This is my favorite japanese restaurant in Colorado, the sushi is good and the rice bowl dishes are also fantastic. I have been too Japan and can vouch for the authenticity of the food, it is the real deal.
