Pretty disgusted with the horrendous service and rude hostess. They advertise a happy hour on Sundays until 10:00. We were starving and psyched to try a new sushi place with all these "great reviews" so we drove all the way there just to be rudely told they were closed and had no sushi left. The hostess basically pushed us out the door. It was 8:00 on Sunday night. The sushi bar was full of fish...when I asked how she could actually say they had no sushi when we could plainly see it all in front of us clear as day the hostess rolled her eyes at me. Another woman came in with 2 kids at the same time and asked why they falsely advertised a happy hour Sundays til 10:00 and the hostess actually told her its not her problem. Never going back. And, btw...the place is a total dump in an old office building. 2 thumbs down. No idea who they paid for all those 5 star reviews...what a joke..lol

This place is Awesome! The food is delicious and very authentic and the owners and staff a super friendly and helpful. They have a great sushi chef but the best part about this restaurant are the owners, they are two very sweet Thai women and they make sure all their food comes out as if they were cooking for their families. After living in Thailand for a few years and always in search for good thai restaurant here, I can tell you without a doubt this is the most authentic Thai food in Boulder; they have most of the classic dishes youd expect and a few more unique things to try like Gang Paa and Lahb. Im really glad they bought this place from the last guy, difference is night and day

Have been to Naraya a few times and had takeout once. The takeout was the first time Id eaten their sushi and it was phenomenal! It was a tempura tuna roll and I was so impressed that I could not wait to eat there. When I did eat there a month or so later, the food was good but not great. The next couple of times I went the fish was less than fresh and the sushi was just okay. I prefer the sushi downtown but when Im not willing to deal with downtown crowds and parking, I go here. But usually I find the sushi at Sunflower to be a decent substitute and a lot less expensive.

I just tried Naraya for the first time and found the food to be excellent. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of great flavor. We ordered both Japanese and Thai and both were delicious. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. The owner came to our table to see how things were and we felt very taken care of. I will be back soon and highly recommend that others give this place with its new ownership and new cook a try. Looks like some of the older poor reviews are from when this place was Siamese Plate. Its a totally new restaurant. Give it a try!

Awesome atmosphere, food, and owners. I have been to Naraya several times both eating in and taking out and each time I have been very pleased with the quality of the food and the service. The owners are two of the sweetest individuals in the world. They truly appreciate your business and they even remembered my name after about 2 visits. I particularly recommend the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, or the Chicken Satay as they are prepared flawlessly with excellent heat and flavor. I would also recommend trying an ice cold Singha Beer in a frosted mug!

Sushi is meh 6 out of 10 on Sunday when i went. They give you some percent off for Sundays dinner. Service is 4 out of 10. They dont ask you if you need something or anything but when they bring you the check they bring it with a big smile waiting for a good tip without working for it. Guys, i have worked in the food service market and i worked for the tip i dont just expect the customer give me a good tip in the last minute. I still prefer sushi zanmai over this one and many others in Boulder.

I had heard so many good things about this place so I was particularly disappointed that my moriawase sushi lunch had just 4 pieces of nigiri and 4 pieces of roll, not presented in a particularly artful way. The rice fell apart on one of the nigiri, which rarely happens at good restaurants. The price was higher than the more ample and elegant sushi lunches at other restaurants around town. Perhaps the sushi chef was having a bad day, but I am not inspired to return.

The food is good, the waitresses was very polite but the chef was irreducible to change our order. We didnt know that every sushi piece here comes with wasabi inside (mixed with the rice). In all other states weve been to, this is not common. We ordered it again without the wasabi and, even though we were willing to pay for both orders (not having eaten the first one), the chef *refused* to prepare an order without wasabi. So, if you dont like wasabi, be aware!

This place failed the simplest of vegetarian friendly tests: they put oyster sauce in a vegetarian dish. Though the waitress was honest when asked about it, and removed the dish from our bill, we wont be going back. On another note, the spring rolls were not served with the spicy peanut sauce as described on the menu, and were dry. The house chard was good, the service was good. all in all, aside from the oyster sauce mistake, the experience was mediocre.

HORRIBLE service. i went there in the afternoon and their happy hour is mis-advertised on the menu so we were greeted with an unhappy surprise when things werent going to be cheap (which is the only reason i came there in the first place.) Our waiter didnt bring us our check for 20 minutes (after he came down to our table and clearly saw we were done) so we went up to pay at the counter. Wont be going back...just watching until it goes out of busines...

The Thai is pretty good, but the sushi if awful. There is very little selection and the sushi is very bland. I live near there and I have tried this place a few times hoping that I had just had a bad order but the sushi has always been awful. I hate giving bad reviews because I dont want to harm a business, but dont waste your money.

The place is definitely not easy to find, but your reward for finding it is excellent Japanese food so keep looking! They have sushi, yes, but the rest of the menu is way too tempting. Everything is plated to make sure its gorgeous, and that always makes things taste even better. Well be back!

My partner and I had an excellent time at Tasuki. We had a variety of items and everything was deliciously, and carefully prepared. I had the most delicious sake for a very good price. It ended up being an expensive meal but it was worth every penny! I will recommend and go back again!

I give it two stars my husband would give them three. I would not classify this as the best sushi. The spicy tuna roll didnt have a lot of flavor, the other rolls we ordered were fresh and pretty average. The service was slow but pleasant. Overall this is an average sushi place.
