Two guys at the counter let me charge my phone possibly saved my life that night as I was finally able to order a cab being lost all friday while my first time in denver. This was on Aug 20. Asian guy with glasses and a white guy helped me out i truly feel indebted to them and felt bad i could only give them a 5 dollar tip, which is nothing and they were completely gracious. awesome employees made an awesome salmon burrito for me as well. I hope you guys read this and again thank you for helping me on one of the worst nights of my life. Let me know if I could ever buy the staff a meal or something just respond to this review if thats ok because I would honestly love to. I feel really bad putting these guys in a cell phone situation because I know this staff regularly deals with BS weirdos and random transients on late nights so I was very fortunate they were able to help me that night. I would love to pay back the favor anytime. Just reply to this review let me know your hours or email you guys I will give a call otherwise thank you guys if you are reading this, you got me home to my family that night.

I really wanted to like this place more. It offers a very interesting concept, which I think could be refined into an outstanding product. However, I was disappointed by the delivery. Considering that its marketed as a burrito, I expected something roughly burrito sized with a wrapped end to make it easier to eat. This was slightly bigger than a regular sushi roll, with both ends open. I tried picking it up, but couldnt keep the filling in. This was compounded by the fact that the rice was less sticky than sushi rice usually is. Also, the relative proportions were off. They clearly skimped on the tuna, asparagus, and cream cheese and filled with lettuce. The avocado fries were pretty good, but could have been brilliant with a little salt in the breading and a thicker, spicier dipping sauce. To top it off, I may very well have been the first customer for the girl taking my order. This in itself was not a problem, but the way the owners (I assume) berated her for minor mistakes was a bit off-putting.

I have to say, we didnt eat here, so take this review for what its worth. However, there is a good reason my boyfriend and I didnt stay to eat. As soon as we walked in, the first thing we see is a trash can overflowing with trash that seemed like it hadnt been emptied for hours. The floor and tables were filthy. The staff preparing the food was unorganized and appeared to not know what was going on or who was next in line to order. Its true that they make the food in front of you - on a severely unsanitary looking workspace. We went as far as ordering a couple burritos and then cancelled our order after looking around. One of the guys working had longer hair that was so greasy it looked like he hadnt showered in a few days, and he wasnt wearing it tied back or under a hat. I wish this place was good because a restaurant like this could do SO WELL in Denver! Maybe someone will fix this place up or open a legitimate sushi burrito spot!

I ordered through the new Yelp food service, and was promised a 12:30 pick up for my 11:30 order. Thats a long time, but I understand that lunch time in Denver can be crazy, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I show up at 12:30 and am told that I need to wait another 45 mins to an hour for my order. Not only that, but I was treated as if the whole thing was somehow my fault. The person behind the counter was extremely rude. The cashier refused to give me a refund, and reiterated that it was not their fault. I dont expect perfection from a restaurant, but I do expect a text telling me when my food is going to be an hour late, and I definitely expect an apology rather than rude dismissal. This is the last time I will be eating (or attempting to eat rather) at Komotodo.

The portions are just the right size. I work out a lot and for someone who wants to stay fit and feel energized after a meal rather than heavy, this is the perfect spot. I have been here 4 or 5 times already. I had heard of sushi burrito places out of state, and was excited when one opened here. They are generally busy, so dont expect it to be "fast food". Also, the burritos are messy and hard to eat, I couldnt imagine having to eat one on the go. However, its all about the taste and feeling. They need a different seating system too, its a small space and hard to get a table sometimes, but thats not so much of a problem in the summer when you can eat outside.

My fried burrito was ok, not too much flavour though. They should work on the ordering process. The first girl took our order, but the girl at the register had no clue what we ordered so we had to tell her twice. And this happened to every single customer. Youd think they would come up with a way to at least write it down and pass it on.. or use the fancy ipads they got for paying. The soda machine was out of ice and the avocado fries were still frozen. Napkins are at the front door, forks in the back. I really think they can improve a lot on details like these. The food was ok, I love the concept, but the experience was dissapointing.

This place is a different experience. It is very small and cozy, with courteous staff. Their sushi burritos are basically large rolls. The ones Ive tried are delicious. The fish isnt the highest quality but we are in a land locked state. They have stubborn sodas, a none high fructose corn syrup soda-pop, which are delicious and on tap. They also feature fried mushrooms, and avocados as start up sides, which melt in your mouth. I think my favorite thing was the cheesecake roll. I would go back just for that roll. The pricing is exactly how you would think it to be. About ten dollars for a burrito, and 4 dollars for sides.

I appreciated the concept and looked forward to trying something new. Most especially something fresh. However.... 1. Too expensive. For the price I could have gone to a sushi restaurant and had all sashimi that was fresh. 2. the fish was not fresh and very imitation like. the salmon was the only potential fish on the plate. 3. the avocado was a big heaping pile of guacomole. that was not appetizing in my bowl. 4. its simply a roll that is not cut up and overpriced. there is potential but i dont see them changing much. i gave it a chance but i wont be returning. $18 for lunch that i did not enjoy.

We went there a little after 11:30 pmon a Saturday night and they told us that they closed at 11:30 pmand that they couldnt serve us, even though it clearly stated that they were open until 2 am online. We had walked all the way across downtown Denver and all they could tell us was that they couldnt do anything for us and they gave us $2 off coupons! If anyone wants those coupons let us know because we will not be using them. They said they didnt know why the time said that online and we even talked to the manager and she really didnt say much! Very disappointed!! I wish I could give it 0 stars!
