Didnt want to even leave 1 star! Went in for lunch showed a coupon for a free California Roll with any $10 purchase exp. 01/31/17 the waitress had no idea what it was said "We have never done that" Explained to her we got this off your website still to no available. Two other workers didnt know what to do about it either. Very bad communication skills there. Asked for a manager no management on site. She finally called a "Manager" named Rosie who would not listen to us and only kept saying "That is only good for Riverpark residents" Which it no where states on the coupon. This establishment would rather lose customers over a $5-$6 sushi roll than honor their own coupon. Although we had ordered our 4 food we left due to such bad treatment. Went to Yan Can Cook. Ordered bottle of wine had Wok Stock & Barrel Noodle Soup had great service by a friendly courteous staff. I wil definitely come back to YCC!!

Our family went to this place for Mothers Day Dinner. Service was okay but the sushi was terrible. The fish was not fresh, steamed rice wrapped around the sushi was hard. The stuffs that they used for their sushi was too old. The plates that they used to service for customer look so old and dirty. Well never come back again for sushi at this place. Price was over charge for the quality of their sushi. The restaurant was so empty last night on the Mothers Day. After we ate than we realized it. It was so sad. We payed almost $100 than not satisfied for our food at all. To everyone out there please never ever come to this place to eat sushi. This is the worse sushi place in town that you dont even want to try.

I went here yesterday and I am going to start by saying what a ripoff. The food was not fresh, they put old fried shrimp into my sushi instead of making it fresh. The avocado was just gross it was freaking brown. The sushi was sliced extremely thin like they were making it for a sandwich. I spent $36 on 3 sushi rolls and one of them were six measly thin slices. The other two just had an average bland flavor, pretty hard to mess up sushi. This was the worst sushi experience ever. The quality of the sushi did not justify the price. The only good thing about this place was its kind workers who I feel bad for that they have to serve such food. First and last time ever going here.

This Yo Yo Sushi location definitely feels more like a chain. It is a fair meal for a fair price, but you do need to go in with the right expectations. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with a 3 star sushi restaurant - it will be fast, average quality, and a wide range of options - but do not expect to experience a mind-blowing meal. The bento box is a definitely more than enough food, and the chicken teriyaki is again average quality (other local sushi restaurants definitely have a higher quality of meat). Rolls are also a good size, and I have honestly never had bad fish - so there is nothing wrong per-say. Just a pretty standard 3 star meal.

I dont want to be mean but, this place just flat out sucks. I have been to both locations in the area (Rivermark & Mercado) and they are both equally as bad. They are all about location/gouging and nothing to do with quality sushi or teriyaki (I tried both). Pick somewhere else to go. I hope they see this message and decide to take 1 of 2 actions; make the sushi dirt cheap (like their quality) or increase food quality (a lot to match the price). Oh and either way you choose TRY ADDING SOME ACTUAL SERVICE, WE ARE NOT CATTLE! -Sad Customer

I have been here a couple of times and the both times I have been there have been equally disappointed. The customer service is non-existent they only talk to you when they need to take your order, after that they do even care if you need refills and whatnot. I ordered the rainbow roll and it seems that I could make one better, it fell apart when you picked up a roll, and it was not cut all the way. The mercado location is a little better but not by much. Like a previous poster had stated, its chinese people selling japanese food.

Sustenance - but little more. Atmosphere is OK and service is reasonable - but the sushi is unimpressive. Nothing tasted fresh. Ordered a spider roll and it was filled with what looked and tasted like the crab spread you can buy by the tub at Costco - about 5 times as much of that as the actual fried softshell crab. I put this on par with those take-out sushi boxes you can pick up in the grocery store. I wont be back.

I enjoyed the spider roll and the deluxe California roll (it is not bite-size as another reviewer noted). The deep fried rolls were simply gross. Stayed in the fryer too long and fried beyond recognition. It could have been only rice and seaweed deep-fried and didnt contain the hamachi. I couldnt tell. Ruined an otherwise good meal.

The waitress didnt listen to the order and it had several mistakes. The spinach roll has peanut butter in it. The calamari was thick like beer-battered reconstituted onion rings. They didnt bring enough dishes to mix soy sauce. Beyond that, nice presentation and they were friendly. Thats why two stars and not one.

Ordered online. Quality was bad. Sushi was not properly rolled, rice was tasteless. Why add lettuce to rolls? Way too much mayonaise in Californian roll. Food was not clean. Vegetarian rolls contained fish-eggs. Delivery took way longer (hour more) than promised. No redeeming qualities: price/quality/speed sub-par.

カツ丼を注文。ボリュームだけは非常にありますが、中身はかなりアメリカ風というか何というか…キュウリやかまぼこが入ってます。味噌汁は割りと普通でした。

Great Customer service but sushi was not good. I had the California Roll and they added alot of rice and the crab tasted sour and wasnt a good sweet tasty roll. Their mixed sauce (mayo) was super sour not spicy at all. They had fast and friendly service but wish the food would have been great. Prices are cheap.

California Roll was flavorless. I also ordered the tempura udon. The dish was presented in a large stone pot. Unfortunately the presentation was misleading. The udon + soup tasted very fragrant as if it were infused with some floral scent or there was just leftover dishwasher residue.

This place used to be considerably better, but dramatically dropped off in quality and freshness in recent years, to the point that it quite literally seems like Safeway outdoes them in quality, and of course price. The food here is far too expensive for the quality of food.

NO NO SUSHI! Exceptionally poor quality ingredients! I lived in Japan for almost 2 years, but Im not that fussy when it comes to sushi. I like Carrefours bentos and I will put up with Samurias staff snacking while they prepare the food... but this stuff is BAAAAAAADDDD!
