Mountain Bird has just changed over to their summer season Asian menu. Although we were initially disappointed we missed their usual French menu, we were quickly delighted with their new menu. Highly recommend the fois gras with beef brisket and ostrich carpaccio. The beef brisket ramen was incredible and the curry was lick-your-plate-worthy. Lastly, their fig cake was heavenly and unlike anything Ive had. So glad to have found this neighborhood gem!

Service- Waiter was professional and friendly. Loved his attitude and recommendations. The owner is so humble and friendly. Decore- cozy, pleasant ,small, cool east village feel Food and drinks- Food was wow! French cuisine with a Japanese touch. Interesting and so tasty. Someone in the kitchen is very talented and knows exactly what hes doing. Great cocktails! Interesting and unique!

I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The dishes were made to perfection and very tasty. The only downside was, as a solo diner, I was often overlooked. I really wanted another glass of wine or a refill of water, but the waitstaff were so busy tending to larger parties. I will come again, but next time I will bring reinforcements so we can be recognized.

This is truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood and chances are that you will likely come back for more. The restaurant offers both a la carte and tasting menu dishes for their dinner service. Food was excellent and nicely presented. Staff are polite and service minded. The restaurant has a romantic setting, making it perfect for a date or that special evening.

Wonderful time at Mountain bird yesterday ! The place is very intimate and welcoming (went with friends but will definitely bring my boyfriend there). The food is exquisite and original (the crab salad and fig cake are wonderful). Service is excellent, attentive and friendly, and some waiters speak really good French too. Will definitely go back !

Delicious! We had a plate of several poultry dishes for the table which was amazing, followed by Duck Duos and Coq au Vin of same high level. Plus this is really inexpensive given the quality... great atmosphere and very reasonable noise level. Ill be back and highly recommend.

Amazing!! The eggs Benedict can be ordered combined salmon and avocado and the holland sauce is the best one I have ever tried. The place is neat and classy, for 2 to 6 people per table, the service is fast approaching and nice and it is great to add the coffee for brunch

The menu is somewhat limited and can be off-putting at a glance; everything is fussy and for more "advanced" palates. Execution is surprisingly spot-on: flavors are bold and dishes are well rounded. Wines are reasonably priced. Service is solicitous.

Brunch is superb. The Benedict with smoked salmon, chilled vegetable soup, and an iced tea proved delicious. The appetizer of muffins include an excellent butter and the staff is wonderful.
