Went in with girlfriend after seeing great reviews. Honestly, lived up to the expectation. The staff, although slim in number, was more than friendly and courteous. My girlfriend ordered a tea(Ginger peach) and was absolutely adored the taste. I ordered a cappuccino and their carrot cake. The cappuccino was delightfully light and not bitter. The taste was perfect for my palette. The carrot cake?.... Just try t when you get there. First off its huge, good kind of huge because trust me, youll want more. Second, its fluffy and moist, everything youd want from a cake. All in all, great place. Wasnt too crowded although there were quite a few people. Had a great time. Will definitely go again.

I used to enjoy coming here. The staff is friendly, the cafe is bright and clean and a welcome spot in a neighborhood devoid of decent spots to get a cup of coffee and get a little work done. Ive been coming here since the opening weekend. However, the space is always freezing, the wifi is horrendous to the point that I end up connecting my phone to my laptop just to get online, and the music - as good as it is - gets entirely too loud to even have a conversation. Such a shame. I could look past the loud music and the fridge-like temps if there was just a solid, reliable wifi connection. But that doesnt seem like its going to ever happen.

Ive lived right around the corner since 2011. Great coffee and espresso drinks. They offer pour over, cold brew in the summer months (its like delicious speed.) Way way better than any Starbucks will ever be. I give 4 stars because I miss their old baker and recipes from when they were a newer shop. They have also recently gotten some sweet gluten free options via Sans Bakery. Good choice! I would appreciate a few more and some savory options! Family owned and run. Theyre awesome. And Luke is my favorite employee.

Love the place, people and the coffee - only problem is with their computer use policy. I get the need to turn space for incoming customers - solution: ask your patrons to limit the amount of time they are there. Some of us have work/school and would like to sit for an hour over coffee in a stimulating environment. Walked in today with signs on every table. Walked back out. Unfortunately, I cant return until you relax this policy. Hoping you adjust, like most places have. Re-post from Yelp!

This is definitely a coffee shop pointing in a different direction. Spacious, plenty of seating, comfortable, a bit expensive, cool indie music playing in the background, seems to attract that non-native to Washington Heights crowd (if youre into that kind of thing). Overall, its a cozy coffee shop to sit at on a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning, drink a nice hot brew or a gentle cup of tea with friends.

This place is truly the "Darling" of Inwood for coffee fans. The brews are top notch whether you want a decadent cappuccino or a high-end pour over. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations. The baked goods are made in house and extremely hard to pass up. Seating can be tough to get, as this has become the hipster/working from home HQ of the neighborhood.

What a great addition to the neighborhood. I live here in the neighborhood but didnt find out about his place until I saw this on Unique Eats on the cooking channel. Its quite unique for the neighborhood. The scones were good, but I just must not like scones because I still found it a little dry. But maybe the most moist scone Ive had. Coffee is banging.

Really wonderful cafe! I go there at least 4x a week. I appreciate the no-computer policy at some tables, even though I use a computer there. If you dont get a table for a computer you can always wait and one will open up rather quickly. Its a really spacious place with tons of sunlight. All the employees are friendly and the coffee is amazing.

There are tables where laptops are allowed and not allowed, so no one is hogging a table for two with a laptop. The coffee and tea offerings are basic and limited but good. The baked goods are a tad expensive. The space is open and bright. Lacks a certain sense of coziness and charm. Music is low and mellow, good to read and get work done.

i go for the pastries!!! they have quite exquisite savory and sweet pastries with unique ingredients. the line is often a little bit slow, but i think it is worth the wait. the place is large and judging from the amount of patrons there with their computers i assume they have a free wi-fi deal (i always just get my goodies to go).

This is the nicest coffee house Ive been to in Manhattan. Its spacious, bright, airy, and chill. All the pastries are homemade, huge selection of savory and sweet. We tried the hummingbird cake and ginger bundt but the quiches and galettes looked amazing. They are serving Blue Bottle coffee right now. Wish I lived in Inwood!

Bright and airy space with welcoming staff, great coffee, and homemade pastries. The only place of its kind in Inwood. Yes, the wifi is too slow, and the prices are too steap, but this is the most pleasant place in the area to sit and have a coffee while chatting with friends or getting some work done.

My preferred coffee spot in Inwood. The coffee is excellent, and the environment very friendly. Computers arent allowed at most tables, which keeps the place from being overcrowded, but finding a seat can be challenging at peak times. The selection of sandwiches and baked goods is also stellar.

Wifi is always weak. If you order a double espresso, they will give you a sip ... you will think its a bad joke. Its a bit snooty. And its not a $ store ... its much more for what you really get. The soup is just ok. They dont treat you always "Darling" ... not consistent.

we were planning to have breakfast and work. but NO. computers are not allowed at more than half of the tables and all of them are empty. the rest of the tables where computers are allowed are occupied. they will lose a lot of clients this way.

I like this coffee shop, my only problem is their prises for coffee. They charged me $2.18 for an 8oz regular coffee. Wasnt even an espresso or a standard size cup. They pay about 9 to 10 dollars the pound yet they charge so much.

Muy rico té y las opciones para comer son hechas por ellos y muy buenas. Recomendada la carrot cake

Nice place to sit and work, read, chat, whatever your fancy. There are plugs points along the walls if you need a little juice for your dying phones or laptops. Coffees good and theres a nice selection of tea for tea-lovers too.

The coffee is good, the baked goods are amazing and the ambiance encourages socializing and working. Id give it five stars but they dont have sugar-free flavor or food options, which makes this a splurge for diabetics like me.
