Thank the Cake Gods for Carrot Top Bakery! Last Sunday I had a dilemma, where I had made a dessert for a party I was attending. My dessert turned out to be a complete flop, and so I went into panic mode on what to do. I started to research local bakeries in my area and Carrot Top came up. I urgently called and told them I needed a carrot cake in the next five minutes (I was running late). The woman on the phone was extremely attentive, and put me at ease that they would have it ASAP. Five minutes go by, and a ring at my door bell. The carrot cake arrived, and the delivery boy was nothing but sweet and charming! Amazing would underestimate what a hit this cake was. Everybody claimed it was their favorite thing at the party, it was to die for! And everyone was dying to know where this hidden gem of a bakery was on the UWS! Absolutely thrilled with the outcome, would recommend to anyone! Thank you so much Carrot Top!

Carrot Top Pastries delivers the BOOM to your tastebuds and a BANG for your buck! I came here after my overnight shift at the hospital, followed by the gym, immediately followed by sever re-calorie-zation. These little devils are so good the only way to describe them is to invent a word for it, so there you go. I got the carrot cake cupcake with buttercream frosting and carrot rugelach. The cupcake was moist, full-bodied (much like myself! hardee-harr-harr) and the buttercream frosting complimented its decadence. All in all, I paid about 4$ out the door, leaving with a smile on my face and a pound on my waist* *NOTE: mad rhyming skills not included with pastries.

It’s nice to have a bakery that offers ample seating and a decent selection of salads and sandwiches (their grilled chicken caesar salad is large and delicious), but it’s a pastry shop first and foremost and their baked goods are just okay. They’re quite large, but I just cannot justify paying $4-$7 for a sugary-and-that’s-all-you-can-taste cupcake, cake slice, eclair, or brownie! This is sadly the only bakery in the neighborhood, so I sometimes come here to cure my sweet tooth, but I certainly leave with an unpleasant sugar rush (insert Candy Crush sound).

Ive been going here with family since I could barely see into the glass display cases standing on tip toe, and Im over 30years old now. They have simply The Best carrot muffins Ive ever eaten- tasty, perfect top, filling to eat, not overly sweet or cakey, and so addictive! Whenever we visit family upstate we have to take them a dozen, and we regularly pick them up just to have in the morning. Even a day or two after purchase, well pop them in the oven at 300°F for 8 minutes, and they taste amazingly as good as when we first got them. Love Them!!

So I always pass this spot when when Im in Manhattan about to head over the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn. I was starving and the bright red sign entitled "Delicious Bakery" could not be ignored... Its a small spot. Grab and Go. Is it safe to assume they do all their baking onsite? Cause you can kina peek in the back and see people baking stuff... Two fresh, hot Pork Buns and a Meat & Vegetable Bun. One prepackaged Pork Bun.

I have been coming to Carrot Top since my days at Columbia University which began in 1999. I have enjoyed a variety of treats and meals here and had the privilege of meeting and chatting with the owner years ago. Carrot Top remains my go to place for s great cake for any occasion. I now order for my staff at WEACT for their birthdays and other celebrations. Keep up the great work.

$4.08 PER Cannoli?! Are they mad?? Ive always gone to the famous Artusos Bakery in the Little Italy of the Bronx or to Ferraros by Manhattans China Town and BOTH are Italian Bakeries and sell their traditional Cannolis at $1.50 each. Carrot Top: Ill keep my money and get more cannolis for my buck.

Needed a Cake for my wifes birthday party across the street starting at 6pm. I asked if the cake would need to be made the day before and held. The staff told me that they have 5 bakers and make everything fresh onsite. We got a Red Velvet Cake that was really great and everyone enjoyed.

Been going to this place for years and its still one of the best places to go and have a slice of cake thats to die for. For people who complain about the service, it’s just that you must also have patience as well. But since the cakes are fresh and delicious, its well worth the wait.

This is a great place with delicious food. We eat here when in the city for medical treatment at nearby cumc. The staff are all great people. The last time I was there one of the staff gave my three year old a complimentary pink princess cupcake. It made her day.

I love this place!! The pastries are delicious. I went there early and wasnt satisfied with their breakfast, however, all their sweets are sooooooooooo good!!! I purchased a cake here for my daughters bday and everyone loved it, not a bit left after the party. =)

This is the best carrot cake in the city maybe the whole world. I mean I do not eat carrot cake from any other place because this carrot cake has spoiled me eternally. The carrot muffins and apple turnovers are good also... Buy with confidence.

Very rude young lady at the register the hours say 7am-6pm I rushed In at 5:45 and she was very rude rushing me out of the store Im sure never going back. Also the tiramisu and red velvet cupcake where dry and taste old!

I have been to Carrot Top a few times mainly to buy cupcakes. They have a good selection including ones with Disney characters on them that would be attractive to kids. The staff is helpful and they open early.

Best carrot cake Ive had. Tiramisu square is also very good. Red velvet and some of their other cakes are also really good. Cookies are hit or miss. Took a carrot cake home as it was that good.
