Really dont know how this place gets busy and has people giving more than one star. I took my order to go and driving home I had to roll the windows down because the smell of the food was horrendous. It smelled like harsh chemicals, which Ill get back to... Opened the bag and started with the sandwich. The chemical smell is not coming from it but for $10+ a sandwich I except some decent quality food. The turkey was processed baloney type mystery meat. I tried to eat a couple bites but just couldnt stomach it. Now back to the toxic smell... Its the dessert. Something I have always looked for as ingredients in bread pudding, gasoline, used floor cleaner and nail polish remover. Thought it may have been the styrofoam container but nope... its the pudding. The food is worse than DISGUSTING. Youre better off going to subway or safeway. But for $10+ a sandwich, go to Wholefoods a place in Concord called Sweet Affair that uses fresh ingredients including their daily made breads.

My husband and I have been here about 6 times since last year. The food as always freshly prepared and fast, and the service has been good. Its not a fancy restaurant by any means, theres more of a comfortable family vibe in the place. Its always been clean and has plenty of options to choose from. So far, we have only been there for breakfast, and every thing has been good. When my parents and in-laws came to town, we made sure to take them here. The homemade bread is a nice difference between them and other breakfast restaurants. So far, there has never been a wait where we have to stand outside like at Babs, and its not as noisey. We have chosen Joy of Eating over Babs on at least four occasions. Looking forward to trying lunch to test out the samdwiches, burgers and teriyaki chicken!

We live walking distance away from this place and we heard good reviews about it so we tried it. the lady that helped up was very nice and sweet. We ordered the eggs benidict. It was way overpriced for the quality of the food. Im not one that writes reviews all the time. But we ordered 2 eggs benidicts and 2 orange juices. It was almost 40 dollars... we were really excited about it but we got let down.

Small corner restaurant with good food and good service. They have been there 9 years, but my husband and I discovered them last year. We havent been back to Babs Delta Diner since discovering this place. There are always affordable specials, and the tab will run about $10 a person, which Ive found to be average. Weve only been there for breakfast, but looking forward to trying lunch soon.

I had no idea Suisun City had such s quaint little part of town that feels like small town in the middle of urban sprawl. The Joy of Eating Cafe takes you back to when waitresses were nice, people talk to each other, and faces mean a new conversation. If you dont like a little kindness in this world then dont come. By the way...the food is great.

Their "make your own omelet" and home made bread toast is what makes this a great place for breakfast. Their country potato is a chopped up boiled potato with scallions and is not greasy. The hash browns are also excellent. They have a good selection of sandwiches and burgers and one of the best fish and chips around. Service is excellent.

Its a nice quite cozy family cafe. Food is great no matter what time or day you go... people are friendly and servers dont hover over you while you eat but make sure you have everything and its all ok and about half way through ask if your ok and need drink refills. ONLY DOWN SIDE IS THEY CLOSE SO EARLY IN THE DAY.

Best restaurant experience ever! I have a newborn who had an accident that required an entire outfit charge among other things. The waitresses were so helpful, even during a busy lunch hour to help me through this embaressing ordeal. I have too say, best customer service ever
