Went here on a Sunday afternoon and the service was terrible. The restaurant was barely busy by this point of the day. The waitress we had was tending somewhat to other tables but not to ours. I had to ask the gentleman at the front to get us waters after waiting about 15 minutes and then I asked him where our waitress was. Yep, it ended up being the same lady who had walked by use multiple times. I then had to ask her three times to bring me a side of tartar sauce for french fries. When it was time to leave, we waited 20 minutes for our check, which I had to ask for about two times. She even looked right at us multiple times. Im not sure what her deal was. You could tell other tables were getting annoyed as well. She would also disappear to the back of the restaurant for like 5 minutes at a time. On top of that the food was nothing special. I got the chicken fried steak....the steak was eh anf the gravy was gross. We will never be back and I suggest you go elsewhere. Youve been warned. The only reason Im giving two stars is because of the awesome guy working the cash register who got me my coke, our waitress and our check. Essentially he did her whole job.

3-25-15 around 11:30am. Dined alone. Food was good, thats it. WORST customer service at the host/cashier counter. The host was a Caucasian, young-spikey dark blond male that rang me up after my breakfast. I was in line to pay, one gentleman was paying before me. The host striked up a conversation with him while I waited to pay. When it was my turn to pay, the host walked away. I waited then the host came to help me and ALL he said to me was "Hey"...NOTHING else like " How was everything?" etc....he rang me up, gave me my receipt to sign BUT when I was signing my bill, he walked away again to seat another customer that walked in. I waited to give him my signed copy but he did NOT come back.....thats it so I left....not a "thank you" or "come back again"....I have never felt humiliated in a long time. I will never go back there and I will tell all not to go to the 12th Ave Café. ( maybe the fact I was Asian?)

Stopped here for lunch today. Found the menu light on the lunch choices. And it took forever for anyone to come take our order despite it being fairly empty. Husband ordered the cheeseburger which was lackluster. A store bought pre-formed, seemingly deep fried, patty on a crumbly bun with limp lettuce. I got the grilled roast beef sandwich - also less than desirable. One side of my sandwich was extremely soggy and actually fell apart when I picked it up. The roast beef was tough and most of it came out with one bite because I couldnt get my teeth through it. The best part of the meal was my onion rings which were crispy with well cooked onions that didnt pull out of the crust when I bit them. Overall, yeah... dont bother. I feel like if you are a breakfast place, just do breakfast. Do it all day or just stay open for breakfast hours but dont half ass lunch just to do it.

I have been going to this resturaunt with my family once a week for two months now. The food is amazing, I get the weekly special every week and it is always suprisingly good. The service is lighting fast. I typically go on sunday morning and it is always buisy...but if you dont mind a little wait, it is well worth it. The portions and prices are average. Tables are cleared as soon as your silverware is tilted to the side. Restrooms were kept clean, except they are missing an infant changing table. Tables have fairly good shoulder room, typical booth and table style, unless you are sitting in the center of the resturaunt...in that case your elbows may be bumped once or twice. One thing is for sure...you will leave breakfast not wanting to eat lunch...and if you are like me you will keep coming back every week to see what they have created for the special.

12th Avenue Cafe is very solid food and ambience. Usually quite crowded on weekends, always a good sign. They have a hot sausage patty for breakfast I find absolutely the best in the area. Also their potatoes that is to say home fries are made chunky Style with onions and green peppers and are quite yummy. All in all, this is an exceptionally good diner and recommended for that weekend comfort food or for any other reason. To be clear they also have a counter and the aviation Ambiance with hints from the 40s through the 60s is actually pretty cool as well. Thumbs up!

Ive been here a few times for breakfast or brunch. It is one of the better choices in Issaquah for typical diner breakfast fare. The food is alright, not great, but not bad either. They do seem to try to make up for quality with quantity which I find disheartening. The prices are fairly reasonable for what you get. If theres line and a wait though I would keep driving for other options.

This place has the best breakfast ever! I was in Issaquah about to go to a job and decided to stop for breakfast and couldnt have been happier with my choice. On top of breakfast, they serve a great lunch and an amazing dinner. People come from all around like Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, Renton, and even Tacoma to eat here! Try this place, you wont regret the decision.

This is a small cafe which usually has a small line waiting outside the door on the weekend mornings. I love their breakfasts, especially the "Montana" which is a mixture of potatoes, eggs, cheese, piled VERY high on a plate! Dont get the large unless youre super, super hungry. Coffee is good too. Not a lot of seating inside, so be prepared to wait if its busy.

Been here hundreds of times over the last decade and many the same staff serve up great breakfast food as in 2004. Great service. Dont expect anything fancy. Its home style food made really well. The omelets, scrambles, French toast, quiches, and bacon are perfect. The spuds are great. Portions are huge and best split in my opinion.

Second time in and amazed again. This place seems to always be busy but they have the ability to get you in and out really quick. The food is a greasy spoon diner type but it is not too greasy. it is truly delicious. They have some good vegetarian options as well for those concerned. I love the food and service here!

After waiting almost 30 minutes for a table, then waiting another 10 minutes for someone to take our order, the breakfast was possibly the worst I have ever had. Bad service, way overpriced, small portions and just a bad experience overall. We will never go again. Do yourself a favor and go to Issaquah Cafe instead.

Very much your old-school diner experience (and not the artificial retro atmosphere like Rubys or Johnny Rocket). Classic American diner food in hearty (if a bit greasy) portions. Stopped in on my way out to eastern WA so this felt like a good way to start the trip.

I love this place whenever I visit Seattle. I make a point to eat here. Must have the Montana Special for breakfast. If you have the stomach because it includes a whole plate of pancakes also. Good luck. I can only wish for a place like this in the Los Angeles area!
