Only the best fish is served here. Super friendly, intimate establishment. BEST braised pork belly appetizer ever, its a special so its not always available, hope you visit on a day that it is. They also offer dishes that highlight natto, a traditional Japanese style fermented soybean that is locally made in Sonoma county.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and has some of the best sushi I have ever had! The owner, Shige, and the rest of the staff always recognizes us when we come in, and with the quality of their food and service have made this a regular spot for us! 5 stars! Our favorite! Definitely a must-have sushi spot!

Best sushi in Sonoma county hands down; I can confidently say this after trying almost every place in Sonoma county. Hana Japanese sushi in Rohnert park is as good, but twice as expensive with smaller portions. Shige is small and often crowded, but worth it.

This place looks like a hole in the wall a bit when you come in. We ate on the porch since inside smelled like fish. Ordered a crunchy California, redwood and cotati roll. The redwood was the best, see image. Would come back again to try more rolls.

I really enjoy this place, the food is super fresh. They will make item special order and are very gluten free friendly. The service is great, and they are very accommodating, for those picky eaters or those with allergies.

Mixed feelings. This place is tiny and cramped. We had bad service, but it was busy and we were squeezed between other more demanding parties. The food was amazing - good enough to give them another try at a non-peak day/time.
