Just wanted to let you guys know that I do have a car, bills to pay , and again Im am still only 17 trying to live an ordinary life style . Working at piccola has been a great experience for me but I can no longer do it . The managers show no appreciation to employees, they do not acknowledge us for any of our hard work ethics . I was once at a time where I would go all day without eating and still come to work with a positive attitude. I was once at a point where I was working 4 JOBS ! Because my mom kicked me out the house because I am happily gay all to support myself but all I got was "You shouldnt be working so many jobs". Not once has Irene ever came to me personally and sat me down and pointed out all the things weve needed to work on which shows how immature she is and lacks any care for employees . Instead she only will cut your hours, make you eat food your not interested in, and put punishment on top of punishment . Its NOT FAIR AT ALL . Please understand that communication is the main key in and business environment and not once has anyone sat down at a table and discussed changes that could be made instead I was mentally abused . The amount of stress I have gotten from this job is incredibly crazy . Also Basia does the same exact thing as Irene but she just talks about Irene behind her back a little bit more than Irene does to her. The management at pizzeria piccola is very VERY weak leaving all the work up to the runners . But again no appreciation is there .I want to strongly express my frustration and hope the best for the restaurant. But I Antonio Bonds will not step foot into the restaurant again until some serious changes occur.

Went in and ordered 2 pizzas and 2 pasta dishes for dine-in. After receiving the pizzas we alerted the server we were still waiting for our pasta... She then said that they were making it and it would be right up... 10 minutes later ONE bowl of pasta comes ... We ask the server where the other bowl of pasta is and she said "They are making it right now!"... (Mind you this is 30 minutes now after we ordered)... 15 more minutes go by and after attempting multiple times to get the attention of employees (who were all sitting together laughing eating and drinking soda on the other end of the restaurant ignoring us) we finally had to get up and go downstairs to the front cashier and ask again where our second bowl of pasta was... 2 minutes later it was delivered to our table (49 MINUTES AFTER WE ORDERED) and the server literally just dropped it and ran away. By this point I was so frustrated that I didnt want to even eat the food and the rest of my group had been finished eating for 20 minutes now... I am not one to normally fill out negative reviews as I work in customer service and know how important surveys are... HOWEVER... the customer service here is extremely lacking. This entire experience could have been turned around by a genuine apology. "Im Sorry" goes a long way...

Mangia mangia (eat, eat)! Pizzeria Piccola Bartolotta does it again. They seem to get it right at their restaurants. Somehow, the pizza here is closely replicated authentically from Italy or Europe (for real). As it should be. The tasteful, but meaningful crust is quite thin, crisp and has a very pleasing consistent dough. More satisfying though, is that it isnt oily like so many other pizzerias like to bake it. And, its NOT heavy like a gut buster! Ugh... The salads equally authentically tasty with a lighter balsamic dressing. Even better yet, the prices are quite reasonable. They also have different pasta dishes. When the weathers cooperative in WI., which can be a rarity, theres an adjacent courtyard to enjoy your food (a bit of being in Italy feel) that theyll bring out to you. You must order inside first, though. Well be going back. Saturday fall evenings, even earlier (05:30 pm) after football games theyre busy so bring your a bit of your patience along!

Subpar. I just moved from Madison where they have 2 amazing wood fired pizza places (Pizza Brutta and Cafe Porta Alba). Pizzeria Piccola was quite a disappointment. I have been there several times now, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and have been unhappy each time. The margarita pizza has approximately 3 quarter-sized pieces of fresh mozzarella. Everything is excessively salty (I know pizza is salty, but this was ridiculous). The description for the four seasons sounds good (artichokes, prosciutto, black olives, mushrooms), until you get the pizza and realize that its only one topping per slice. Artichokes on one slice; mushrooms on another and so on. The description is deceiving. And their salads are quite small for the price. Its too bad b/c the outdoor seating is great, as is the service.

We had a Bartolotta gift card, so we went here expecting to use the card since its a Bartolotta restaurant. They told us they dont accept Bartolotta gift cards... even though Bartolotta owns the place??? The format of the restaurant is annoying. You have to order downstairs, carry your drinks upstairs, get your own plates and silverware, and then sit down. Servers then bring the food. Like, a high school cafeteria combined with a regular restaurant? I mean, if I am paying a nice price for pizza, I would expect a nice-ish restaurant that doesnt remind me of a deli when I walk in. Lastly, like everyone else is saying, the pizza is totally sub-par for the price! I dont get the attraction with this place. For pizza, go to Balistreris a few miles away on 68th street instead.

Pizzeria Piccola makes a great pizza that is as good as most Ive had. Their pizzas are personal-sized so make sure you order accordingly. The crust was thin - just the way I like it. They had no problem making a couple pies without cheese for us. Crust is important in a pizza and, of course, the flavor of the toppings. But, what I find distinguishes a great pizza from a good one is the depth of flavoring provided by the sauce and/or seasoning. Pizzeria Piccolas flavors were very good but werent quite the best Ive had, hence the 4-star rating instead of 5-stars. It was really close to being extraordinary. Making a very good pizza is still a good thing. Also, they have a great outdoor seating area. We didnt get to enjoy it but it is a great option.

A truly disappointing visit - considering how much we love Bartolottas other restaurants. We had to order as we entered - the cashier was totally spaced out as were several of the other wait staff. The restaurant itself was not clean - bathrooms were filthy. The quality of the pizzas were very mediocre. We are sticking with our old standby - Lisas on Oakland Avenue - far superior. We stopped at "Piccola" for my husbands birthday, and felt like this was one of the Bartolottas restaurants that was like the "forgotten child." Dont waste your money there.

I love this place! I was thrilled to try their gluten free pizza for the first time and now its the only pizza I crave. Its cooked in a wood burning pizza oven on a separate tin. My personal favorite is the gluten free sausage pizza with no cheese and added arugula. My kids love the GF pizzas and pastas. We havent had a disappointing meal in the 3 years Ive eaten here. I usually get pizza delivered on busy nights. It arrives quickly, hot and all labeled "gluten free" with a friendly delivery driver! Im told the regular pizzas are awesome as well!
