1. We watched as two tables were seated after us. Almost immediately, the server came to ask about drinks. For us, after being seated for 20 minutes, I finally asked someone if we had a waitress. He, (maybe you) took our drink order and then we still waited some time before the drinks arrived. 2. My wife and I ordered the cider boys cider (she has a gluten allergy). Most cider served in restaurants is of a medium sweetness, you have the extra dry version which should have been stated on the menu. She hated it and hoped to simply order a water. My son also finished his soda in a reasonable time and we waited for a long time just looking for our waitress to simply ask for a water and a refill. To put it in perspective, my son and wife decided to take a walk by the water and told me to make sure to order a soda refill and a water if I saw our waitress. 3. Now for the food: a. My wife with a gluten allergy ordered a salad with no dressing or meat. Simply lettuce and other veggies. She also ordered mashed potatoes. My wife was ok with her bowl of lettuce and mashed potatoes. b. My daughter and I ordered the perch with fries. Didn’t expect the perch to be rubbery with the skin still attached. We order fish all the time and love perch. This is the first time I got it with the skin still attached……and absolutely the first time it was so rubbery. The fries and the fish were very, very greasy and the fries were soggy. Not sure how anyone can mess up fries. c. My son ordered the regular fish and chips. We were very surprised to see what amounted to 4 or 5 fish “fingers”. It almost looked like a kids meal as far as the quantities. He was reasonably ok with the cod; however, after my daughter tried the perch and didn’t like it, they traded some with each other. She didn’t finish the cod and he did the same thing with the perch. d. After we left, we went to culvers to order another meal so that we weren’t hungry. 4. Related to the server: a. I was able to get her attention to order the water and the soda. She asked if my wife also wanted a refill on the cider and I said “no, she didn’t like it, it was too dry”. She said OK, and went to get the water and refill. b. I asked for ketchup when the plates first arrived, She walked away and came right back with the Ketchup, and asked how it was. We hadn’t even taken a bite, but said “fine”. c. After she took 3 almost full plates away, she might have noticed something was wrong, but didn’t. d. When I went to sign the bill, I told her that the food was not good at all. She had the nerve to say “I wish you would have told me”…..and “I asked you twice how it was”. She didn’t ask twice because I would have told her but I couldn’t even could find her prior to paying the bill. e. She never offered to talk to a manger, or even resolve the issue. 5. All of this took over 90 minutes from the time we originally came in until we left hungry, disappointed and frustrated.

Terrible! There were six of us and 3 of us are in the food servive business. Calmari was so chewie we couldnt even pull it apart. 1st strike 2 waited over a half hour for a bloody mary 3rd we order our food at 220 came a hour later Vegie burger burnt, shrimp tacos cold, my rueben sandwich was grease pouring out of the bread the othe two had a french dip which wasnt great but they eat it because they were starving. We should of left along time ago but we understand it a busy weekend! It will get better! Wrong! The waitress was very nice and we tipped her well due to we know it is not all her fault. Got the manager she kept making excuses it a busy weekend, we have a small kitchen ect. She did comp most of our meal still 58.00 In my opinion the food that was served should of never came out of that kitchen. I personally would not take that out to my customers. With all that said I will never go back!

Im giving this 3 stars because I typically enjoy trying new breweries when on vacation. However on this day, the bartender working was someone that would be better suited not dealing with people. The town didnt have power so it was cash only. The place was packed. The gal behind the bar seemed bothered that she had to interact and pour beers by candle light. We tried to make small talk with her to hopefully lighten the mood (no pun intended ) still no luck. She had a bitter beer face the entire time. I ordered a flight and it was $12 which was reasonable but to get the last one on the menu you had to pay more. It was of course the one that looked most appealing, a chocolate one if I recall. We will likely give this place a 2nd chance when we are in the area again but for now its just average.

My girlfriend and I came in after watching the waterski show, partly because it was one of the few restaurants in the area that was open after 9pm. We arrived and were seated promptly by the host, who was very friendly with us and gave us a very nice seat. Our waitress Katherine took wonderful care of us, and she did a great job helping us determine what we wanted to eat. My girlfriend had the shrimp tacos with a Bahama Mama cocktail, while I enjoyed the walleye with a wheat ale. Both of our dishes came out in a reasonable amount of time and they were both very good. Katherine was very patient with me as I struggled to pick out a drink, recommending different drinks that were not as "hoppy" as the sample that I had. Great food, great service, would definitely go back again!

I will start by saying, I do far more positive reviews than negative ones. I am sorry to say that I had a very poor experience here. We arrived right on time based on our prior communications with the establishment, and the host looked at us and said, " ummm, its gonna be at least an hour....". We told her we had called ahead and that maybe there was someone who better knew hot to accomodate us. The bartender kept shooting us dirty looks while we waited. Finally we were asked to leave, we assumed because they didnt want a group our size (14) waiting around. Terrible customer service and definitely not the place to go with a group larger than six. I will never be back, and will probably boycott Minocqua Brewings beverages forever.

We visit the Northwoods regularly throughout the year and the Minocqua Brewing Company is a regular stop. The tuna and pork chop are our favorites. We have tried and love the various sandwiches, and the Calamari appetizer and wrap is the best we have EVER eaten. We traveled to Hawaii this past year and could not find Calamari like the Brewing Company. Close...but not the same. The service is always good. Our favorite server is Jodi, but we have never had bad service. We know the summer is busy and the wait time is longer, but we feel its well worth the wait. We love eating outside as well. Great restaurant and great experience!
