We lived in Minneapolis for a few years and man did they have some great beer. This brewery reminds me a lot of the places I loved up there. Cool, laid back space and really good beer. Its probably my favorite brewery in Madison. They had my favorite coffee stout (paired with Kin Kin coffee) and I was so sad to see it go. I dream of it, please come back someday! Carebear Blood is their current coffee stout but its just not as good. They do offer some snacks and pizzas which is cool, and sometimes necessary.

What an awesome find! Its tucked away and I didnt even know it was there until walking by during the Atwood Festival. Went last night and had the best time! Their one barrel beers and ciders are DELICIOUS and the bar staff are welcoming, eager to talk about their brews, and generally make sure you have a great time. They also raise money for Underdog Pet Rescue so that gets them a 6th star. Will definitely be back!

Stopped in on Saturday 4/1/2017. The beer was kind of middle of the road as none of the taste stood out to me as being unique, and seemed to lack "life" a bit. The bartender seemed a bit unprofessional and was just chatting to a girl the whole time and took a while to get service. Probably will not return again. I do like the idea behind the bar small hand crafted batches and the beer has potential.

If you are on a date with a girl you dont want to be on a date with, bring her here! The younger owner/partner (his name is Peter and he doesnt like to be referred to as young) likes to sit at the bar, get drunk and hit on girls. The guy really likes to talk about himself. Oh, and the beer is pretty watery...

The name says it all - they serve up beers, one barrel at a time. The bartenders are always friendly and are attentive even when its busy. Delicious beverages, but they dont serve much food - only a few bar snacks. If youre in there when theyve got Carebear Blood on tap, give this tasty beer a try!

Not only does Pete (the owner and brewmaster) have a great name, he also makes great and inventive brews. Although they dont make one barrel at a time anymore, the quality is still there. Serves quick bar snacks and Frabonis pizza.

Bartender is super friendly & helpful with choices & the Beer is Phenomenal, the only caveat I can see is the music was up a bit high & being an older building the acoustics make it a bit much, but overall an excellent experience..
