I rarely write reviews, but I do when I really like a place or a place just fails too many times. Everyone knows Cousins is a great sub place as far as taste. However, the service here is usually a miss. For my last 3 visits at this location I have walked out empty handed because they decided to turn off the grill at a particular time usually anywhere after 9 (one time as early as 9:15 because as the employee informed me there were no customers there to order anything and I assume they wanted an early night out as soon as they can ). For those visits where I have walked out with something in hand (within the past 3 months) it is like the people working the front is doing everything on their own because those in the back are not helping those in the front after they even ask them to (I have only experienced this on the weekends during the afternoon/evening hours). Still those in the front kept it really friendly and were very apologetic for the wait and I just silently gave my kudos to those workers because they were trying their best while not letting the situation get to them. I do not come here as often anymore because of the service and I just go next door if they are not closed.

The new system is slow and confusing. I had to place part of my order at the beginning of the line and then the rest at the end of assembly line. I miss the old method of placing my order all at once and someone else passed the information to the rest of the staff. Next this location did not have the pepsi machine ready for use ( I never got my Lemonade) , the area was smokey because the exhaust hood were not working, one employee making the subs had long chipped finger nails, another did not wear a hat, my sandwich was not prepared like I asked, and while I was leaving another employee was eating a sandwich behind the counter while standing over the sandwich making line. Very disappointing experience especially since this was not my first time visiting this location

Whenever Im in the mood for cousins this is where I go because its close. However, I dread going to this location because theres always a cashier with an attitude problem, they never smile, they make it seem like taking your order is an inconveinience to them. Ive never had a problem with the food or atmosphere, but they should have more than 1 cook ok so you can get your food in less than 10 min. Theres a lot of people who need jobs in Milwaukee, and they shouldnt be wasting job opportunities on cashiers who will never make it in any job in the real world, simply because of their poor attitudes and people skills.

I go to this cousins probably once a week. Depending on the cashier service can fluctuate. However I will say that they are some of the friendliest people in Milwaukee.
