Stone Tap is a unique, inviting, and completely outstanding new gastropub! This is exactly the type of place I have been looking for since I moved to the Twin Cities Metro Area, and now that Ive found it, I couldnt be more pleased. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the food, the beers, and the pairings between the two. The food is absolutely perfect. The chef and his team know precisely how to fill gaps in the flavor profile of their food in order to deliver a honed and delicious, well-rounded serving. Moreover, its not just placed on a plate and served; this food is presented. This is food as art (while still carrying midwestern flair and the portion sizes weve all become accustomed to)! The beers here are all carefully hand-selected by the owners and general manager Catherine Pflueger (previously the general manager of the Happy Gnome in Saint Paul, MN). Interestingly (and Id venture to say courageously!), instead of listing the beers by style, the beers are listed by flavor profile: Light, Hoppy, Rich, and Specialty. I feel that this presentation will likely be successful in introducing the world of craft brewing to a wider population of patrons. Hands down one of the best independently owned restaurants I have had the pleasure of enjoying. Ill be back for sure!

We drove 20 miles one way on a suggestion. Walked in and the place was almost empty. We headed up to the bar and the bartender asked us how we were doing and we asked him also, his response was something like, "everybody comes in at once and then leaves at once", that statement was alright but it made me feel like I was a burden in an almost empty restaurant. He proceeded to complain to us and every new person that came in about how many mojitos hes had to make today. We ordered burgers one beef burger and one bratwurst patty burger, sorry I dont remember the names and because my wife is pregnant I ordered them well done. The beef burger came out still pink which was fine for me but pregnant women arent supposed to eat undercooked meats so we had to switch burgers. The food was just OK, the service was gossipy and not very genuine feeling. By far not the worst place Ive been but I just cant seem to get over the greeting when we walked in, I think it set up the entire mood.

I stopped in here with a few friends for a birthday drink after dinner downtown. We were greeted by the waitress and were given a drinks menu. I guess you can call it a drinks menu, but it was basically just a list of beers they had on tap. I understand the appeal of this place, but I honestly feel the prices are too high for the microbrews and it is a little too snarky for its own good. Im fine that we stopped in, but we left after one drink. Each drink was about $8 a piece, very expensive for the area. Unfortunately, I dont think I will stop in here again. Lets leave on a good note - it is beautifully decorated!

I have had drinks there multiples times and was eager to have dinner. I was hopeful about dinner, but turned out to be very underwhelmed. Of the four plates at our table, only one thought it was very good. Our waitress really struggled, which was hard to watch. The table next to us that night had their order lost, so they were there before us and were just about to eat as we were leaving. The bright spot was sadly the French fries at the bar before dinner, which were very good.

Stone Tap was absolutely fantastic. Great service, beautiful space, awesome beer, and delicious food. I cannot stress enough how great our server was at Stone Tap. Also, huge bonus, you can do "flights" of any beers with no extra charge. A 5oz pour of a beer that is normally 16oz is just 1/3 the price, and a 5oz pour of a beer that is normally 10oz is just 1/2 the price. We will be going back to Stone Tap the next time we are in Hudson!

Great burger and beer place. I had the award winning "The Burger" and was not disappointed. It was juicy and flavorful. For a side I tried the buffalo fries. If your a fan of buffalo wings, give these a try. To top it off, they had some brews from 3 Floyds which of course complimented my meal perfectly. The décor was new and nice done. We sat in a booth that had high backs which gives it a nice cozy, private feel.

WOW! Celebrated my daughters birthday with her grandmother. Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Cant wait to return to try some more unique dishes. A Favorite place of mine with an ever-changing list of drafts to enjoy and a hearty, great-tasting menu that pairs perfectly with a good draft! You can build your own flight too! The menu consists mostly of burgers, but there are salads, fish and chips, soups, and a variety of apps! Great service and a Tuesday Trivia night.

Food was great! However, we were there with a larger group if 15 people and we were shoved into this tiny area in the back of the bar. It was very hot and we were so crowded! They were also out of 2 kinds of liquor, ameretto and peach schnapps. Pretty common liquors to be out if on a Saturday night!

This has become a solid "go to" spot whenever we visit Hudson. In particular, the tap beer selection is usually outstanding and the cocktails are strong and well made. My wife loves the brussel sprouts while I generally prefer the award winning burger. Bar service is always friendly and attentive.

I love the interior of the restaurant, with the old brick and spacious seating. The service was good and so was the food, but the portions were small for the price. Decent beer selection, but Id rather make the trip to New Richmond and go to Bradys if Im in the mood for that type of restaurant.

Great place. Gastropub..., well, they do stress both the beer and food and you can eat at the bar. They had some really great items, with really nice beer selections. The Bartender was great too, she was one of the most knowledgeable Ive encountered - both about the food and the brews.

Food was great, service not so much. Waiter took our drink order and food order, brought our drinks and then never came back to the table. Server brought out food. Our waiter never came back to ask if we wanted refills or anything. Not in any hurry to go back.

We drive out from the west side of the twin cities about once a month to visit the stone tap. The food is great, the beer selection is unbeatable. Strongly recommend "The Burger", its consistently one of the best burgers I have ever had.
