Im writing this after my second visit about three weeks apart. The first time, the food was fantastic. I love the menu selection, very classy. Best cooked burger I have ever had. Nice and thick too! But my appetizer plate was left on my table all the way until my food came. Never came back to refill drinks. Took far too long to return with the check. But I would go back because maybe it was just the one waitress. Second visit. Again with another very inattentive waitress. Ordered a beer and had to ask for it after 30 minutes of waiting. She had forgotten. When the food came, you could tell that it had been "chilling" under the warmers because the pickle on the plate was lukewarm and the burger had soaked the one side of the bun to a greasy mush. Had to ask again for a side of honey mustard that I had ordered. We had all(three of us) ordered burgers cooked medium and all of them came out well done. The Black ale also had some improvement to make as far as taste. We were willing to excuse the marginal service on the first visit because the food was great. But the second visit really sealed the deal with another inattentive server and the three burgers not cooked to order, which is pretty basic in my opinion. We will not be returning.

There are not too many places to dine in the area and even fewer brew pubs, if any, so were happy that the LRBC is there. Overall the food weve had is pretty good. The soft crabs I had there a while back were VERY small but they did put three on the plate so it was ok. We recently returned and had some oysters, the raw ones were great, the fried were good too but the portion was too small, just a few bites really. Otherwise what weve had there has been well prepared and fulfilling. The craft beer is good too, but as we found out, the bill goes up quickly when you are thirsty and the beers are $6 for a 16 oz. Next time Ill drink bottled beer. Atmosphere is warm, comfortable and friendly, and the waitresses weve had there have been very accommodating.

I was recently there with friends (Aug. 6). We wanted a nice supper. We wound up spending over 2 hours there waiting to be waited on, getting drinks, giving our orders, and getting served. And the food was not that good. I guess if you drink enough the taste of the food isnt so important. The waitresses walked past us time and again and waited on others. We saw at least one other table come in, give their drink and food orders, eat and leave while we were waiting to give our food order. None of us will be returning.

Bock Roads

Well crafted ales and the aroma from the food was incredible. We were in for just a few beers and realized we missed out on some good food. Will definitely be back to try it. They had 4 regular taps and a seasonal tap of theirs and a few guest taps. Really cozy restaurant and a beautiful bar. Our bartender was very prompt and friendly. Well worth the drive from Winchester, VA where we are staying.

Nice place, small town feel and friendly. Full bar + casual dining, 5 Lost River brews on tap ( at this time: Common/Porter/Pale /IPA / 2IPA) no outside area / patio though. Also serve Domestic and host 3 taps from different breweries. Good Appetizer/ didnt try full entree. Street and side parking available.

The atmosphere was great. The food was amazing! The food and drinks are priced reasonably and all orders are made fresh. The calamari and burgers are outstanding. Also be sure to try their homemade beer.

Mac and cheese was delicious, as well as their pulled pork sandwich! We tried their Pale brew and it had a nice smokey aftertaste. Really relax and nice spot for a bite after WV outdoors fun.
