A very fine place to dine, indeed. I disagree with the above reviewer stating this is not "authentic" (that word has taken on a whole new meaning, a most erroneous meaning). While it may not be completely Authentic, there are next to no restaurants of any kind which are. You wont find truly "authentic" Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, et. alli, in America, save for large cities, with nearly as large ethnic enclaves. Given this fine restaurant is located in the unique and inspiring sight filled city of Yakima, none of those were overtly present. It was much less fried than most Chinese/Asian restaurants, which puts it far ahead of its competition. It is more authentic in that sense. Not every dish is deep fried in pancake batter and doused in Sweet and Sour sauce. If you do decide for a deep fried choice, such as Sweet and Sour Chicken, or Pork, it is much lighter, less deep frying, more fresh vegetables (yes actually fresh), shallots, pea pods, carrots, rice. All very hot, very fresh, and quite expedient. I had the Mongolian Beef off the menu, and ordered the Hot and Sour Soup. The soup was hot, fresh, as were the vegetables and tofu. It was obvious they had not just been sitting in a large pot on low heat. The Beef was brazed with a semi-spicy, semi-sweet BBQ sauce (savory brown sauce, usually made with hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and chili peppers). It was paired with scallions, which I love, but looking at what my brother had ordered (Garlic Chicken, which was loaded with the mixed vegetables that I wanted so bad!), I almost wanted to trade! Ah, the scallions were grand, just as the beef, the sauce, just the right amount of spice and chili peppers, and was served atop a VERY generous crispy bean threads and a side dish of steamed (not fried) rice. The waitress was kind, brought multiple drinks, and offered my father assistance on what to order, as he does not really care for Chinese food. Despite his flawed belief, he left happier than anyone else. He raved about the restaurant for the rest of our vacation. They do have Lunch Specials, a bar and cocktails, variety of beers, as well as a few American food items (Salad, Hamburger, Fish, I think..) But to order something American from this great restaurant, Peking Palace, would be an utmost tragedy. My only regret is one that is pertinent to me and my living situation. I live much further east. About 1800 miles further east. :( I figured its the least I could do for such a fine restaraunt, and fine owners I am certain. I ate there once, and if Im ever that far west again, will patronize them once again. Or for the third time, if you count my review as patronizing. ;)

Hit and miss, not consistent. Soup is good but the crackers are always stale. Sometimes chow mein has a nice variety of veggies, but tonight...not so much. It was 50% bean sprouts and the other half celery...boring. My husbands BBQ pork was tough and cold! Need to turn religious radio down it is turned up way too loud. Thanks.

Excellent, fresh food at reasonable prices! Consistently order the bar-b-que pork as an appetizer, and it is really good. For main dishes...love the Chicken Chow Mein, or the Special Lo Mein. Also, the soups are really, really good as another reviewer has mentioned. This place is on my "go to again" list!

Sweetnsour pork is hard breaded balls with a tiny bit of pork with sweetnsour sauce. Not what i know sweet n sour pork to be. Fried rice was bland with a little egg. Almond chicken was breaded chicken strips with gravy and a couple almonds thrown on top. Not worth the money.

Soup. Soups are good, wonton and hot and sour soups that we tried - they were worth coming back for.. And then we had our "chinese" first course. Oh what a joke. Greasy, heavy, stale tasting and under seasoned. Avoid and go to Panda Express - at least youll get smaller bill!
