Good luck finding a real pool hall these days but this place is not only the real deal but has the character to match! They must have close to 20 tables and they are all dead level with consistent bumpers. Tap beer for me but shelves of hard stuff if that is what you are into. I didnt hold out any hope that their food would be any good (they are grilling out in the open to the left side of the bar) but was pleasantly surprised. We must have hit happy hour on Friday or they ran our tab wrong but it was the best deal anywhere for pool, beer and food. The other patrons are all super nice as well which added to the experience and the staff is there to help you out. The 1 quirk that I find interesting is the front window was broken (cracked) right as you come in when I first visited 5 years ago and it is still cracked today. Im kind of hoping they never fix it because it does add the the grit of the place. :-) If you want pool and beer, this is the best!

Ive always enjoyed my visits to Malarkeys. Theyve got a good bar menu, the staff is great, bartenders super cool! I love pool and theyve got a lot of tables 7 and 9. Yes, food can be gut busting, but why is it soooooo yummy! Anywho, the owner Clark is cool and he does cue repair for those of us that have abused cue sticks.. haha. Pool tournaments every week and youll see the same faces all the time so you know this place is awesome!!

They have some of the friendliest bartenders and cooks in the Tacoma area that Ive met so far. They also have some of the best food in town. They have prime rib every Saturday night for $18.95 and prime rib dips on Sunday nights with provolone cheese every Sunday night for $9.95 served with a pound of steak fries.

Always super busy. Which is good and bad. If your not a leaguer, you can easily be ignored out of the place; but go ahead and challenge someone for a game, they act all badass but really its not that bad.

Great to play pool but service sucks took over an hour for waitress to tell me they were out of what I ordered .though they have a waitress had to go to bat to get a drink after first one.

Always an available pool table. (Over 20) most of the staff provide terrible service. Cook had no idea what went on one of the items. Never seen someone take so long to pour a beer.

This place is dope af tho. Good food good staff, the whole 9. The cooks are hella funny. The people are all regularly chill and helpful. Its a Tacoma joint for a Tacoma joint
