*** In Short *** Solid brunch food without the nasty (weekday) wait. *** In Depth *** So, we were admittedly a little full already after grabbing some snacks at Honore across the street, but, hey, what else were we supposed to do while we waited 20-30 minutes?! Anyhow, after perusing the menu a bit, we ended up trying their salmon and pancetta eggs benedicts, along with their in carrozza egg bake. I wont bother summarizing each, but, the verdict? They were all quite flavorful, and the eggs, in their various forms, were all cooked just right. With that said, Id probably opt for an egg bake myself the next time I come here, if not simply because it packs more of a flavor wallop than the former. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - Some inaccessible high top counters with stool seating by the window, with standard accessible two and four tops in the rest of the restaurant. I recall spacing between tables being a little tight, but dont quote me on that: regardless, nothing that couldnt be dealt with. Bathroom - Didnt try them.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in all of Seattle! I discovered this quaint little gem a year or so ago with a friend. I was blown away by the perfectly cooked eggs Benedict! I quickly realized that the menu items are strikingly similar to Pokemon- I gotta collect em all! Ive been back many times since, and anytime I have a good friend or relative visit, I make sure to bring them here! On top of the comfortable, calm decor, and the consistently, perfectly cooked eggs, their service is stellar! Linnea is the main star, remembering my name and favorite coffee drink (Latte). I am always greeted with a smile, always treated like family, and always leave happier than when I came in! If you hate DELICIOUS food, fantastic service, and wonderful coffee, then you should absolutely avoid this place! If youre an even moderately sane human being, then stop in, and eat until your hearts content- dont worry, it wont take long :)

First time here, and while I wish I could say the entire experience was awesome - I cant. Food was super delish, but wow is the service lacking! No welcome as we came in, and I had to wait a couple minutes before anyone would even make eye contact with me. No, it wasnt busy. It was a weekday morning! When seated , we then waited 10 minutes with our menus before anyone came over to check on us or give us water. When I approached the counter to place our order instead (not knowing the correct way to order, as no one told us) I was told to sit back down and someone would be with us. Um, OK. The three employees working had no customer service, sense of urgency, or even the basic people skills one should have at a restaurant. The guy that finally did come up to us was stoned out of his mind. I hope this was just a one-off!

Weve enjoyed brunch, lunch and breakfast here for a number of weeks. FH is a small, neighborhood place with terrific French press coffee (competitive in Seattle!), excellent quality food, handmade. Did I tell you that the poached eggs are perfect? Not "teenager" sized portions (thank goodness), but plenty of carb choices: bread, pastries, potatoes. We love the soups (with fresh veggies, a revelation!), stews, sandwiches and a salad with lentils. Vegans can order this without prociutto (only on for flavor), and vegetarians can ask for a poached egg for a satisfying and delicious meal after your morning saunter. I like the hollandaise, especially with eggs Florentine. I think the dates of these reviews must be wrong because FH only opened recently. Lets support careful cooking.

My husband and I came here for breakfast one morning before flying back home to the East Coast. This is a quaint little cafe which has a large selection of drinks (mimosa and mocha were delish!), a selection of pastries, and a few dishes which focus on eggs. If you like eggs, then this is a good place to come to. If not, then your options are smaller. Our meals were presented in a very cute, yet simple and elegant way for this non-elegant cafe. The decor could be described as hipster style. Very laid back atmosphere. We went as they opened and the place filled up pretty quickly. We had excellent service! We would come back here again if and whenever we return to the the Seattle area. We have no reason to rate this place lower than 5 stars!

Terrible service!!! We arrived with two little kids at 8:15am on a Saturday morning. First the hostess ignored us for five minutes, and then put us on the list. We were the first on the list. After waiting for 45 minutes, they gave seating to two parties who were behind us on the list. My wife gave them benefit of doubt and requested that they could still accommodate us by asking a couple who were yet to be served food to move over so they could join two adjacent tables; the hostess was rude and declined. Going to a good restaurant is an experience that begins with good service. If you cant accommodate a family with two little children in freezing weather then you shouldnt be in this business. Good for kids ...NO!!!

I went to the fat hen with a couple of friends, we had to wait to go inside for at least an hour. Once we got in I ordered the toast, the bread was just burnt and not the best, so I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which was much better. Aside from the food, costumer service was horrible! I got charged extra and only noticed once I received my bank statement so I then called them to see what was going on and wanted my money back, they were giving me a hard time and after many phone calls they finally returned the overcharged amount. I was not done talking to them yet about me toast and the person I was taking to didnt want to deal with me anymore and she hung up on me!! Not ok!

Fat Hen wins my vote for best Eggs Benedict in Seattle. It is prepared perfectly every time I eat there. The first time I went to Fat Hen I received great service. there was a short wait of 20 minutes. The next few times I went the service was terrible. I actually watched the girl who worked the counter sit down and have breakfast with her friends at a table while the entire restaurant was packed, several people waiting to order and receive their food right in the middle of breakfast service! I couldnt believe my eyes. I would give a five star rating if I was rating only the food. Unfortunately the service is sub par.

My wife and I walked down to this restaurant for a Sunday breakfast on the recommendation of our Airbnb hosts. We are glad we did. We arrived 10 minutes prior to the restaurant opening and there was already a sizeable crowd waiting. The wait wasnt as bad as we had anticipated considering the crowd and are we glad we didnt leave. The service was good, but wasnt overly personable, but considering how busy the place was, we can easily understand why. We both ordered egg bakes, an in camicia and an in carrozza. Both dishes were excellent! We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. Only compliant is the wait time and it was an hour long! The restaurant itself is really small and in a residential area. Parking in the area wasnt an issue but it is very popular, so expect waits. No reservations, just walk in and write your name on a list. There is a park nearby so we went for a walk. The food was really delicious though! We really enjoyed the food and it was very fresh. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly as well! They did get quiet about an hour before closing, so that may be a good time to go by!
