Just got back from this place which I have been wanting to try for some time given the Google reviews. The menu was a little confusing to me as there were dishes like Pad Thai, Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken on it. I asked for recommendations for Vietnamese food off their menu and first was given a geography lesson on how the Mekong flows from China through Thailand to Vietnam. When I pointed out on the menu that it said "Mekong Village - Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine," he offered some recommendations. We ended up getting the DIY spring roll platter (#67) and grilled beef with rice (#51). The food was pretty decent and I would give it maybe a 3.5 star rating. The service was deplorable. No dipping sauce was served with our DIY spring rolls. Water glasses stood empty for the longest time, and when I told the gentlemen at the reception he told my son to just shout for the waiter which is all well and fine, except that our glasses stayed empty while he was doing the chatting up. He was trying to be humorous, but how how about take care of the issue first. Throughout the meal it was hard to get the attention of the wait staff, even though the restaurant was maybe about 25-30% full. I had gone to the restroom before my meal and soap dispenser was empty. Another customer already in the restroom, got one of the waitstaff and told him it was empty. I went to the restroom after the meal to wash my hands and the soap dispenser was still empty. Coincidences? I doubt it... Let me be clear that no one was rude, but it did not seem that service was particularly important. Will not be going back there again and will stick with Tamarind Tree for my Vietnamese food hankering.

I asked for three tofu sandwiches and asked if they could put the tofu on the side. The server told me that he did not think that the kitchen can accommodate that since the tofu is marinated. I responded that we love the way they marinate the tofu there and just to put into a container since we wont be eating the sandwiches right away and was afraid the bread would be soggy. He then walked away went to the kitchen for about 4 mins talking and laughing loudly (we could not understand since they were speaking a different language). He comes back out to tell me that they cannot put the tofu on the side. I asked why not and he responded aggressively, "So you just want the bread and nothing else on it?" I responded, "no, everything can stay on the sandwich, just the tofu on the side since it is marinated and moist". He said no they cannot do that and then went back in the kitchen and we could hear him laughing and talking. After about 15 mins later he comes out with the bag, hands it to me saying "here" and like he said the sandwiches had the tofu in them. Later that night when I went home to eat them, I noticed the sandwiches did not have the usual marinated seasoning and seemed extra moist with extra onions-the bread was soggy. I dont understand why this made him react in this way, I have been a long time customer and have always enjoyed the meals. Because of this experience I will no longer return and will not recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

If you like to look around the local area for some good restaurants, this is one of them. For starters, the location of the restaurant was easy to find since it is right by the road with its bright and attractive red lettering. The interior of the restaurant is inviting, comfortable temperature, paint color and pleasant environment. The decorations are not overly bright and grotty, there are simply a few decorations and bamboo. The tables and floors look as if they are constantly cleaned and monitored by the staff and the managers, whom usually welcome anyone coming through the door immediately. The menu has a variety of Vietnamese food that would have you stumbling on your decisions. The waitresses are prompt with your order as well as the chiefs in the kitchen. The food was delicious and cooked right. I did not have any issues with the restaurant, so it gets a 5/5. Good food, clean environment, and friendly staff!

I live in Bothell and I absolutely will drive all the way to Aurora for this place! My friend suggested this place once but I was skeptical because it was aurora.. there isnt much worth noting there but to my surprise, this restaurant was above and beyond my expectations. the interior disconnects you from the sketchy neighborhood and the service is excellent. The staff really knows the menu very well and have suggested me to tried their "combo tray" which is a self wrap concept and the Vietnamese pancake which they said was aired on kcts 9. This place deserves a 5 star!

I have been here several times. It is one of those places that has a extensive menu. They are a jack of all trades but master of no e type of place. I admittedly only have had 2 dishes at this place the pho and general tsoa chicken. I enjoy the appitisors but the egg rolls are really oily. I have had the beef brisket pho several times and the brisket is always a little chewy. The spring rolls are good and they put a little fried rice paper in the middle for a good little crunch. In all the only real reason I would go here is if the place up the street for pho is closed.

Vietnamese pancakes is a definite. The spring rolls for me are a definite. And if you just wanna have a lovely meal that’s Asian, in beautiful surroundings, that’s the place. I would probably go to a Korean restaurant in that area before Mekong Village, but for what I had food wise it was definitely tasty. I really enjoyed it. I would bring family, friends, anyone. And we ordered a lot of different things on the menu. Watch full length reviews on the KCTS 9 website.

Just finished an amazing bowl of soup with wide egg noodles perfectly al dente, shrimp, pork, quail eggs and a great broth. Add sprouts, lettuce, green peppers and jalapeño if you like, a squeeze of lime, and devine happiness ensues. Excellent Vietnamese coffee too. Outside beside a parking lot...it looks uninviting. But step inside - beautiful woodwork screens and good service and excellent the food. I will be back. What a happy random find.

Hehe, read that someone didnt think the Phad Thai was very good... If you want standard strip mall Thai this is not your place... But if you want to discover new tastes, take a bit of a chance on a truly authentic Vietnamese cuisine then this IS an outstanding choice. The spicy Satay Beef soup has ruined standard Pho? for me it is so delicious. The food is all very fresh with great care taken to ensure quality.

While it may look a little unimpressive from the outside, dont just pass this place by. Large servings of delicious pho are served up quick. One of my husband and mines favorite things are the rolls to start. Whether you go with shrimp or the house made pork, both are super tasty. With a solid menu, and great friendly service, this is a staple in our house.

I absolutely love this Seattle Vietnamese restaurant. It is delicious, cheap, fast, and holds its own against Tamarind Tree or any other favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Seattle. I am SO HAPPY that I found it! Its a clean establishment, the waitstaff is friendly, they have free WIFI, and the prices are very affordable.
