We went here after reading good reviews on a local blog about their Sunday brunch with Bloody Mary bar. Drove twenty minutes there. When we entered we were never greeted so we picked our own table and looked around to see what the deal was because we didnt see anyone working there. Scoping the place out, its predominately a dive bar, appears on the dingy side with sticky floors from the night before and looks to cater to early twenty year olds. We waited a long time before anyone came. Then a person walked by, never greeted us and dropped off menus and kept waking. Looking at the menu, the bloody maries were $10 each! At that point we were all torn whether we should just go. So we decided to flag down the server and see what the deal was about their food since it was priced like a 4-star restaurant! We yelped "Excuse me!" several times, but she would continue walking around ignoring us! We had to walk around and track her, then standing next to her saying "Excuse me" she still didnt respond! Then she looked over, and what seemed to be pretending to be startled, she said "oh, whats up". We asked her about the bloody mary, which was just vodka and V8 juice. We went back to our table and started gathering our stuff. The server walked by at this time, coincidentally, and says, " aw, are you guys going somewhere else?", which came off like, "oh, too bad, so sad". Odd, why would the first idea she assume be that we were leaving? How would she know we were going elsewhere? She never said "is there anything I can get you guys?", "is everything ok?", etc. Very odd place! Its a shame we drove a long way and couldnt try the food. The service just made it impossible to even get to ordering our food!

Had brunch here on the weekend. The place was empty which seemed nice but should have been telling. I and others in my party ordered the brunch burrito, and added chilli verde. But this chilli verde was *ridiculously* spicy. I mean after 3 bites, our mouths were on fire and we couldnt taste the burritos anymore. And we werent a crowd of mild eaters (I at least order Thai food with 3 stars every time and love hot sauce). Seeing as how it wasnt mentioned on the menu and we werent warned, the waitress should have offered us something else when we complained at how spicy the verde was. But instead, she cluelessly brought another plate for us to scrape the sauce onto to get it off our burritos. She only brought one plate when my friend repeatedly asked for a second. She also still charged us for the sauce we couldnt eat. Duh. Apparently that batch of jalapeño was really hot, she relayed from the kitchen, but thats not an excuse. Youre supposed to taste test and warn people. Ruined brunch. For a vegan place, it wasnt very good and this just sealed my resolve to never go there or recommend the place.

I had the worst dining experience in recent memory at Georgetown Liquor Company. We had a few beers and the "Tycho" mushroom sandwich and the "Enterprise" veggie burger. The Tycho was nothing to write home about. A portobello, soaked in too much vinegar and not enough oil, slightly undercooked. The veggie burger was a vegie burger, decent but pedestrian. The onion bun was either stale or toasted and let cool too long. The real travesty was the side of roast potatoes. Quartered red potatoes, blanched but not cooked through, with some half-cooked onions thrown in for good measure. I wasnt expecting them to be the highlight of the meal, but they were borderline in-edible. Tasted and looked like the kind of thing Id microwave for myself if I was running late, and immediately regret. I rarely leave bad reviews, and ever more rarely for local businesses, but hopefully this place gets its act together because they wont be around much longer with food like this. The 2nd star in this review is for the Super Mario Bros 2 setup. Not bad. The service was quick and friendly enough.

The build your own bloody mary bar is a definite win. - Food: Consistently good. The polenta appetizer is great, and the portions were more than any of us were able to finish in one sitting. Ive been back a few times and havent regretted it yet. - Service: As another reviewer put it, the staff is hands-off but not inattentive. No complaints from me, but be prepared to seek out meaningful eye contact if you need something to happen quickly. Overall, its a great place to bring people--especially veggies--for tasty food, video games, and a somewhat gritty, arty dive bar feel.

Topher and his crew are an eclectic mix of unusual hipsters covered in ink and metal who serve an even more diverse customer base with outstanding value, food and spirit’s! Even from a hard-core BEEF Eater, GLC’s food selection is outstanding!! The vibe is cool, hip and inviting so come on down for a round and see what all the rave is about! I liked their service so much that I hired them for a private party and they added the perfect “mix” for my guest! See you at Georgetown Liquor Company soon!

My salad was fresh and dressed well, but it was $8 for greens and a couple slivers of portabello. Cocktail was well-balanced, but still a bit overpriced. Loved the casual, quirky atmosphere, but when the train goes by, it sure makes its presence known (e.g. LOUD). Overall, Id go back for happy hour, but prices arent worth it otherwise. And, would it kill someone to get a water glass refilled? The night we went, it was low on customers so I expected more prompt service.

I love this place. It has all the feeling of a pub you went to near your college. The dark booths offer intimate conversations opportunities over a menu that caters to vegan and vegetarians. It is perfect place to take your friends who may not even know they are missing red meat. It has a full bar and give great pours. It is very casual but by no means a dump. The servings are generous and you will be happy to find this gem of a joint.

I have a confession. Ive been in love for year but have never expressed myself until now...I LOVE the Georgetown Liquor Company. It falls into the category of greasy spoon/dive bar, just the way I like it. Its not fancy but youll get an honest mixed drink, 80s/90s video console games, and the cool Georgetown vibe youd expect. Try the split pea soup, you wont regret it. Oh, and dont be chintzy, go for the bowl, not the cup. :-)

I have a confession to make. The first time we went there,we kept going because it looked like a dive bar and we thought no way they have great vegan food. I was completely wrong. The food is awesome. This place is a must eat. We are going back this Saturday for the Bloody Mary Bar brunch. Dont make the same mistake we did , just dive in.

Excellent place for us, vegetarians and vegans to hang out and eat yummy food. My review is solely on the food. Ive been coming to this restaurant for years and the food is delicious. Lay back atmosphere. Heads up...no kids friendly and parking can be challenging. But the food outweighs the downsides!

Food was good and good vegan/vegetarian options. Takeout order was correct. Service was lacking. We waited for 15 mins for someone to even make eye contact with us while our order sat there the entire time. Probably will try somewhere else and not give them another chance.
