Delicious Dim Sum! I havent written many restaurant reviews, but I felt compelled to write something about this place, especially since theyve been getting a few 1 star reviews lately. Here are the facts: Ive eaten at the Bamboo Village around 10 or so times but I have to admit that I dont have much experience with their regular entrees. Ive had a few items (General Tsaos chicken and fried rice, if I remember correctly) and all-in-all it was good. Nowhere near the quality that youd find in the International District, but good for a neighborhood restaurant out of the city. I live in Wedgwood and have tried other Chinese restaurants in my area like The Black Pearl, Snappy Dragon and Super Chinese Buffet, and compared to them, the Bamboo Village is head and shoulders above all of them. But forget about their regular entrees! Where Bamboo Village really shines (and why I go their almost every week) is their Dim Sum menu. First of all, its served all day. They have a limited menu during dinner hours, but their selection of 18 or so items is varied enough for me. Secondly, their Dim Sum is freaking delicious! Are they going to steal the Dim Sum crown from the Jade Garden? Hardly. But again, for a little Chinese food restaurant north of the city, its damn good. Everything comes out fresh, really hot and the flavors are very authentic. The shrimp and parsley dumplings are spectacular. Clean, fresh flavors and piping hot. You shouldnt miss the beef short ribs and pork buns either. As a matter of fact, my girlfriend swears by their pork buns. Says theyre the best ones shes ever had... from anywhere! Now that may due to the fact that theyre so fresh when you order them for dinner, but I cant really disagree with her. Theyre very, very good. The perfect combination of sweet and savory. So if youre not in the mood to drive to the International District and are craving some late night dim sum, definitely give Bamboo Village a shot. A few other things to note: Their house is tea is ridiculously addictive. Overall, a very cleanly restaurant (including their restrooms). The staff is very nice. Its family run. They have parking.

DO NOT GO HERE!! If I could rate this as 0 Stars I would. This place has HORRIBLE service and no one acknowledges you when you arrive at the restaurant. We waited for 10 mins before anyone even noticed that we needed to be seated. On top of that WE FOUND A BUG IN OUR Shu Mai!! When I told one of the workers and asked for the manager she refused to let me talk to her. She then took the food with the bug on it and said its just "mushroom" while trying to take off the bug and pretended that the bug wasnt there. Im pretty sure mushrooms does not have wings. I took the food back and pointed the bug out to her. Instead of handling the situation right she started smacking her lips and gave me attitude while stating that its just mushroom and that Im wrong. NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS DISGUSTING PLACE.

This place had like 2 people working there and when we ordered, he would bring out the dishes one by one with a large delay between. This was very annoying because I do not want to eat something before the main thing I ordered. My reccomendation to you is to order the food in the order you would like to eat it so it gets served in that order. Also, the tea is basically slightly flavored water. The food was pretty good, but Im no food connoisseur so judge for yourself. The meat inside of the humbows was not as much as it should have. Other than that, it is pretty empty all of the time. One thing that I did like was this little squirrel outside that was jumping around everywhere. It was very entertaining. :D

This place is relatively inexpensive and they have a large menu including dim sum. The food is about average, with nothing that i have ever had on the menu really being what i would call memorable. On the plus side however they do deliver, fot those of you who need a dim sum fix but arent motivated enough to leave the house for it.

My family has been going to this restaurant for the last few years. They welcome us like family and are always incredibly friendly. The dim sum is authentic (Im half Chinese) and is very reasonably priced. This is one of our favourite restaurants in Seattle. We love the food and we love the people!

I used to love this place but the last two times I have ordered from there have been very disappointing. The scallion pancakes literally tasted like cardboard and the BBQ pork was completely tasteless. Im sad because as a native New Yorker this was the one Chinese restaurant I considered decent.

Waiter would not leave us alone to make our choices. We sat down, got our menu, waiter came over every 1-2 minutes to ask if we were ready and on the third time he didnt leave. We needed more time and we felt rushed to make a choice. Food was also not great.

If it were just the dim sum I would give it a five. The food is delicious. The servers push items on you to buy that are usually expensive. They do not provide a menu so the place isnt for beginners to dim sum. The facilities are clean.

Solid Chinese food, nice dim sum menu, fair prices, and always an open table. Not quite ID quality, but always satisfying. Salt and pepper dishes are good (fresh rockfish), as well as the shrimp dim sum.

Just stopped there on the way back from the beach, craving some Orange Chicken. Food was fast but gross. Chicken was soggy and swimming in a sauce that was watered down to having no taste at all.

Great food and excellent, personable service. Excellent dining room for families with young children. Im fairly certain this is a family owned/operated restaurant thats part of the neighborhood.

We drive from Shoreline for takeout here. Were picky when it comes to Asian restaurants and this is one of our favorites. If we want Japanese food we go to Momoya off of 85th on the east side.

Had a weird feeling when we walked into this place. We had dimsum for dinner. The dumplings had a weird texture to it. Spongy, chewy, and greasy. It was bad. Dine at your own risk...

The 4.25 lunch special is great: soup, rice, egg roll, and a daily entrée. Its not the best chinese food, but perfectly edible. Ill update this review once Ive tried their dim sum.

THE DIM SUM WAS PERFECT FOR A SATURDAY HANGOVER- non pushy staff (that happens with dim sim usually) the fried rice has cilantro in it- unexpected and amazing. 5 star.

Staff was very pushy and upset that we came in 40 minutes to closing. Wouldnt give us a table so we took it to go. Good food though.

Service was slow (despite an empty restaurant) and the food... wasnt the best. Had the Orange chicken. The staff was nice though.

I like going to dimsum with my friends. But could not finish my entree of kung pao chicken. The ingredients seemed off.

Their good was okay. I have had better Chinese food. But it was quiet and we enjoyed each others company.
