Im not sure what has happened to this place since the last reviews (which all seem very favorable!), but I had a horrible experience. With a reservation, our party was not seated for 20 minutes. My meal (beef with pan friend noodles) was absolutely tasteless, as was my husbands (beef with double mushrooms). A friend ordered the duck... which was brought to our table still frozen. Our egg rolls didnt arrive until wed finished our dinner (giving me exactly enough time to completely forget I had ordered them at all). The straw that broke the camels back, however, had to be the green onion pancakes (which all who ate said were in fact quite good! Very delicious!). Halfway through our meal, our waiter came by with an extra order of green onion pancakes, which we waved away since wed already received all orders of green onion pancakes. A minute later a different waiter comes by, with the pancakes, asking us if we were expecting another plate of them. Again, we said no. So a third waiter came by, to make sure we DID NOT IN FACT order the extra pancakes. Still... the extra pancakes showed up on the bill. I wish Id read the reviews before trying this place, as it sounds like their hot pot is quite good. But I wont be going back, and I wouldnt recommend it.

My daughter and I had dinner at this restaurant, I believe on June 17, 2016. It came highly recommended by my daughters boss. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the building. Food is fantastic especially the shaved noodles but we got turned off by the place. Restroom floors were sticky. The building where they are located needs cleaning. There were lots of flies in the building just outside of the restaurant. It must have been wrong timing for us because on our way out (we decided to take the stairs), there was what appeared as animal or human waste on the first floor close to the stairs. Wheres the maintenance guy or building manager? Oh we ran together with another group of customers. Parking is a plus, but the exit garage door was closed we, together with two other groups that also dined in the restaurant were trapped in the basement garage. There were no signs or directions on how to get out. Needless to say, my daughter and I were so traumatized that even if the food was good, we are definitely not returning!

Decent food for decent price. Food for 3 people with leftover is only $60. Servers are very attentive and the place is spacious and clean. We had 4 dishes. The hot pepper shredded potato dish was not as good as other places but still decent. The pickled veggies and fish soup was huge. My favorite dish was the taro (actually konjac jelly) and duck dry hot pot; it came with generous amount of duck for only $16. Food wasnt as spicy or flavorful as other sichuanese place but I dont mind coming back.

If only there is negative star rating....The food was so bad today that I thought they must have hired a new cook without any experience in cooking. The duck is way too salty and tastes very weird. The cold dish has probably been sitting in the kitchen forever. The meat has gone bad. The green beans lack flavor but was the best thing on the table already. The server was smoking just outside the gate...The whole restaurant smells terrible. Will never come back again.

Just had lunch at this place, the food was OK, nothing special but the service was no where near good. We didnt even gotten a refill for our water the whole time when we were there. After we paid, she stopped us and asked for a better tip, and says this is their policy. Are you kidding me?! Good tips are based on your service. Will not go back to this place again... P.S the bathroom is very dirty.

I tell you what when I stumbled upon this here restaurant I was deeply moved that they got them bathrooms you can sit it. You could not believe how luck yall are for having such a luxary. Back where Im from youd be lucky even to have an indoor bathroom, and even an outdoor one was still a little rare. But here you got yourself a fine bathroom. The food was indeed outstanding as well.

Im more familiar with Cantonese cuisine, but I am expanding my palate. The food her is flavorful and some dishes are spicy. My favorites are the hand shaven Dan Dan noodles with pork and the dry fried green beans. Service can be slow and disorganized, especially when the restaurant is full. Overall, still an enjoyable meal.

Our favourite Szechwan restaurant in town. I adore the cumin lamb, and their hand-shaved noodles in hot oil is a must-have. We have enjoyed sharing hot-pot with friends a number of times. The service is friendly and I enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and view overlooking 12th & Jackson.

Absolutely stunning food, well seasoned, well cooked, and plated beautifully. The staff was amazing as well. They were all so kind and thoughtful and communication in English or Chinese is easy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, even if you dont like spicy food.

Real authentic Sichuan food. Sometimes the chef is hit or miss but most times its great! I love the spicy beef noodle soup! It really hits the spot. Be sure to try out the appetizers too. Scallion pancakes are amazing and so is the cold tofu appetizer.

Id actually rate this place 3.5 Food is generally pretty good, prices are reasonable, service is typical for Asian restaurants. You wont be disappointed nor will you be super pleased. Not as crammed for space as other restaurants in the area.

Probably the best authentic Chinese restaurant you could possibly find in downtown - if you dont really mind a bit greasy setting and plain decoration, this is a perfect place to go. $20 per person should be more than enough for dinner.

on the top floor. has a free parking garage with an elevator right to the restaurant. Food is decent and portions are big. mostly Chinese dishes. Nice place to chill if you are seated by the window when not busy.

Consistently delicious. Ive been back many times, and I dont think Ive ever had a disappointing dish. Theres a pork rib hot pot among the specials that I highly recommend, we get it every time were there.

Decadent ambience is for suckers. This is classic mala Szechuan, all substance over style. The smoked duck was incredible. All the veggies were super fresh. Love the numbing spice. I will frequent.

Very willing to accommodate our split-checks situation. Lots of variety on their menu selection. Great for folks who want hole-in-the-wall good Chinese food, minus the run-down environment.

Its hard to find Sichuan-style hotpot this good. The service isnt great and the price can be steep, but if youre craving hotpot this is a fantastic option. For special occasions.

7 stars pepper is super - a den of super deliciosity. The hand-shaven dan dan noodles are ambrosia - thats right, ambrosia as in food fit for gods to enjoy - dan dan ambrosia.

First thing: get dumplings. Second thing: get more dumplings. This place is excellent. Take home any leftover dumplings and re-steam them for second dinner.

Very good, spicy Chinese food. Inexpensive. Non-descript decor. To reach the 2nd floor gallery where the restaurant is, use unmarked stairs or elevator.
