Anyone who knows me in more than a passing way knows that Im deeply obsessed with Asian food and Chinese in particular. Last night, with the help of an Amazon Local Daily Deal Coupon we decided to give this place a spin for a celebration. The ambiance was very clean, nice and upscale and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The prices were $3 or more than comparable plates at most other Chinese restaurants including my favorites. Was it worth it? The short answer is "no". The food was OK but it wasnt great. Most of it tasted fresh and some of the portions were decent but others were small. Taste is subjective and just to give you a base line, if PF Changs is your favorite Chinese food then were not on the same page at all and maybe the distraction of the shiny surroundings and upscale feel will lull you into a happy euphoria. I would eat there again if someone else was paying but I would first try to persuade them to eat at Tasters Wok or one of the other spots I prefer. They are all lower cost and offer better tasting food. I will say that I once ate at a Chinese Restaurant in a small town in Idaho that looked like a truck stop and served us a dish that was basically standard fried chicken drenched in sweet and sour sauce. That dish was gross but some of the others were pretty good. Other than buffets and cheapie fast food style Asian places, most of the places Ive eaten have at least a couple of passable dishes and this place has more than that but why pay more for less? Ill also say that if youre a drinker (Im not) this place looks pretty well equipped to serve you.

The food was horrible!! I called for delivery and the person taking my order was saying everything was so great when I ordered something for instance Shrimp Foo Young she said oh its the best. It was nothing but an egg omelet with no flavor and some shrimp thrown in it that was not foo young just disgusting. And they gave you gravy!! American gravy thats just crazy. I guess it was good to her because she has never experienced real good egg foo young Shrimp Foo Young any foo young lol and the house fried rice...... Well lets just say I will never eat their food again I deleted the phone number from my phone Im sorry but it just wasnt for me or my family

Ordered through Uber Eats and thought I was getting General Tsao chicken but when it arrived it was only deep fried chicken... they actually forgot the sauce. So when I called to inform them of their mistake, they actually told me I had to go in to pick up the sauce myself. I waited an hour to get this food and paid way too much for it and she wanted me to drive 20 minutes to go pick up the food that would be cold by the time I got home. Needless to say, I wont be going back. Recommend trying just about any other Chinese restaurant in the area over this one.

Overall excellent! Took longer than we expected for food to come, but it was very tasty. This was a couple months ago so I dont remember exactly what we ordered. I do remember one or two dishes being smaller than expected for the cost. In many ways very comparable to P.F. Changs in Alderwood Mall... except I like the China City menu much more. Décor was better than expected - very classy to intimate dining experience. Great place to take someone on a date. Also great for family. My 17 year old daughter really enjoyed the menu as did my wife and I.

Gone Downhill: lunch with a friend. Long wait to place order even though we were the only ones in the dining room with one customer in the bar. Language barrier between us and server detracted from our anticipated elegant experience. Wor wonton soup lacked former complexity. I can go across the street to Central Market, get the ingredients and make this version. Overcooked broccoli chicken. Food and service dont match the beautiful setting. Overall Disappointing.

We had the family for 2. #3. Everything was good. The sizziling rice soup was amazing. Will be going back. It would be nice to be able to change out the 2 entres for others for variety on future visits but it was great. Our server was very sweet and attentive. This was my 3rd time here and all times were great and honestly i am not normally tonfonf of chinese food but everything is fresh and good flavors.

Dont let the fancy dinning room fool you. China city is putting out proper Chinese food at this location. I have been eating at China City since their first restaurant in Oak Harbor almost 20 years ago. When I saw the logo at Mil creek, I have to come in and try it out. Lets just say the good is as good as I remember. Super clean and very proper!!! Thank you for a good night out with my family.

This is not a Chinese restaurant so much as a China-themed one. The menu felt slightly insulting. The mu shu chicken was pretty good; the tofu and vegetables was deeply disappointing (if Id wanted frozen-vegetable-based Vegetable Delight I could have paid much less elsewhere and had rice included). The service was fine. Nothing was good enough to convince us to go back.

Great food, friendly staff and the ambience is perfect. Our entire staff (over 50) have eaten there on several occasions for lunch and dinner and we are never disappointed. If you like excellent Chinese food and want to enjoy a great environment, China City is the place to enjoy a great meal.

Lunch special was a great deal : soup, fried rice, entree, and chefs choice appetizer (we each got a crab ragoon). $8.5 for chicken broccoli, $9.5 for mongolian beef, plus a $1 each to change out the soup choice for pork dumpling soup. Not the best food ever, but solid and good value!

Mongolian Beef was out of this world good. I got it at a 6 of 9 spicy level and it was just perfect combining sweet and spicy. Seriously it is a must have. Im not a fan of Chinese places and usually dont set foot in them. This however was a great entree and I would get it again.

Super nice interestingly designed place, BUT...wife noticed that a few of the tables were dirty, even though they was oneotger table being used. Appitizers were yummy, we had egg rolls + pot stickers + bbq pork. Meals were E + C, and both were delicious :-)

The restaurant/bar is beautiful and the food is NM pretty good too. Not the best Chinese Ive ever had but its also not in the international district with terrible service and a menu written in mostly Chinese. Decent local spot for good Chinese food.

The food here is microwave grade. Terrible! The place looks good and it lures you in ....once. I have multiple colleagues that have eaten there and all think the same thing. The prices are high to pay the Mill Creek town center outrageous rent prices.

Been there many times before and was one of my favorite spots, but this time was disappointed with the cleanness of the place. Table was quite dirty and water cup had cabbage inside. That definitely changed my attitude regarding this place.

Sadly with a change of heart , We longer choose "China City" as favorite with change of menus and removing our favorite entrees "Shredded Kale Salad" , there no point! You have loss of your customer of Two years.
